In early 2025, longtime donors, friends and partners of Luther Manor, Fox Point Lutheran Church, and their outreach committee began thinking about interesting, new ways to support Luther Manor. One idea they came up with was to provide fidget mats for The Gardens at Luther Manor, our memory community.

Team members from Luther Manor and Fox Point each began looking online for fidget map options but weren't satisfied with what they found. Ellen, a member of Fox Point and the leader of their quilting group decided to try and make one on her own. Remembering the experiences she had using similar mats as a special needs teacher, Ellen designed and used materials she had to create the fidget mats Luther Manor received.

A sincere "thank you," and "well done" go out to Fox Point, their outreach committee and Ellen who gave our current and future residents such a wonderful gift!

Grateful for all our partners, supporters and friends who make things like the CARESmart possible!

Linking arms with other local nonprofits like CARESmart at Luther Manor makes a difference. Life Center provides food so that CARESmart can continue to serve residents who have outlived their financial resources and others facing food insecurity.

Last week, Terrace Residents met with Bruce Johnson, the Dining Services General Manager, in Chives for coffee and breakfast breads. Bruce answered residents’ questions and listened to feedback about all things dining. This new event will happen every month so residents can share their thoughts directly.

Our Courtyards assisted living residents look forward to their weekly Bible study in the Activity Room every Tuesday at 10 am. Courtyards Life Enrichment Manager, Shari, said, " It's always a full room and the residents love Pastor Stephen!"

We are pleased to announce the much-anticipated return of Catholic Mass for our residents! Join us for a spiritually uplifting experience every Sunday afternoon at 2 PM in the Faith & Education Center. Mark your calendars for our first Mass on November 16th (two weeks from today) — you won’t want to miss it!

Can't make it in person? No problem! Residents can tune in to our in-house channel, 956, and participate from the comfort of their room.

We’re also delighted to welcome Father Mauricio, who will be leading our services! Not only is he a dedicated priest, but he also serves as a hospice chaplain and supports thirteen Catholic cemeteries. We’re very glad to have him with us!

Plus, there’s a special opportunity for all residents! Join us on Thursday, November 13, to meet and greet Father Mauricio. This is your chance to connect with him and share in the joy of community, while also enjoying some refreshments.

Yesterday afternoon, we invited friends and members of our community to a song-filled, educational, autumn afternoon in our Faith & Education Center for the David HB Drake production, "Gather By The Waters," which tells the story of those who first settled in this place we call home! We enjoyed sing-a-longs, delicious baked items, apple cider, coffee, giveaways and some incredible, educational entertainment! Thanks to David for his incredible production, and to all our friends (both old and new!) who spent the afternoon with us.
