Epidemiology update... Mostly rhinovirus/enterovirus in the region (think common cold). There have been some + influenza cases in the office, expect RSV and influenza to start to pick up in the next month.

Some nice reminders about croup- a particularly troublesome manifestation of viral illness, often seen in the fall. Remember, while the barky cough can be disruptive, stridor- the louder breathing with inspiration- is what is most worriesome.

Croup is a common illness in young children. It can be scary for parents as well as children. Read on for more information from the American Academy of Pediatrics about croup, including types, causes, symptoms, and treatments.
