MU students have the opportunity to live in an Independent Living apartment on campus at a reduced rate in exchange for volunteering, fostering meaningful connections and intergenerational engagement within our community. This unique collaboration creates meaningful experiences for both students and residents alike.

Hospice care is delivered wherever the person calls home; in a private residence, skilled nursing or assisted living facility. The goal of hospice is to improve the quality of an individual’s end of life care by offering comfort and dignity.

As we observe Martin Luther King Jr. Day 2026, we reflect on Dr. King’s enduring message: "Life's most persistent and urgent question is, 'What are you doing for others?'"

These words closely align with the St. Camillus philosophy: “The poor and the sick are the heart of God. By serving them we serve Jesus the Christ.” At St. Camillus, our service is not just a business obligation, it is a commitment to our mission.

In 2026, we remain dedicated to ensuring our services are accessible, equitable, and designed to empower every individual we serve. We believe that by serving with compassion, integrity, and excellence, we contribute to the progress and inclusion that Dr. King, as well as St. Camillus, championed.

Our new hydroponic gardens are thriving, and today we were excited to feature spicy mix microgreens, red radish microgreens, and purple kohlrabi at the Bluemound Market—fresh in the salad bar and beautifully used as garnish at the Bistro.

These vibrant microgreens aren’t just eye-catching; they’re packed with benefits:
✔️ Freshly harvested for peak flavor
✔️ Nutrient-dense and full of antioxidants
✔️ Grown sustainably with less water and no soil
✔️ Adds bold flavor, color, and crunch to every dish

This is just the beginning (more greens are growing as we speak), and we can’t wait to keep bringing hyper-fresh, locally grown ingredients straight from our hydroponic gardens to our residents' plates.
