Dr. Dan drove in to the office today! Roads are still covered but he said they were drivable (this was mostly main roads from Dickson to Waverly). IF you can drive to the office safely, he is there to take care of you! We are going to watch the weather and decided hour by hour how long the office will be open. If you plan to come in today, please call the office to arrange a time. Stay safe and have fun playing in the snow if you get to stay home again today!

CLOSED MONDAY, JANUARY 15th!!

We are staying home today! Dr. Dan did try to get out to see how the roads are. They are semi passable (where we are) but it’s continuing to snow and beneath our feet is getting icy.

Stay home if you can. The police and tow trucks are going to be busy enough with the people who HAVE to go out to work.

If you have to get out, we pray for your safety! Put extra blankets and coats in your vehicle in case you get stuck out.

**UPDATE: We are closed for the remainder of the day. As long as the roads are safe in the morning, we will be open at 10am for our normal hours tomorrow. **

Dr. Dan made it to the office from Dickson. He took 46 to Beasley to 70. Then turned on commerce to get to the office. Beasley in Dickson was the most dangerous road on his route. He said there are some slick areas. He just took it slow.

He is there this morning and early afternoon to take care of anyone that can safely make it out.

He will likely close the office early so he can get home before dark and before the roads potentially freeze over again. If you do not have an appointment, please call to make sure we are still open.

IF YOU CANNOT MAKE IT TO THE OFFICE SAFELY, PLEASE STAY HOME.

Today is Chiropractic’s birthday!!

On September 18th, 1895, Dr. D.D. Palmer gave birth to chiropractic by making an adjustment to Harvey Lillard’s spine. In doing so, Harvey’s HEARING came back after 17 years of deafness!!

You might be wondering how this is possible. How could doing something to the spine allow someone to hear again? It’s actually quite simple. As with every function of the body, a person’s hearing is dependent upon instruction from the nervous system which runs through the spine. By improving the alignment of the spine, Dr. D.D. Palmer restored the vital flow of communication that was lacking, causing Harvey’s deafness.

Since then, chiropractic has helped people overcome many health challenges they thought they or their children would have to live with, such as sinus/allergy problems, indigestion/acid reflux, depression, ear infections, to name a few.

Chiropractors have done this in the same way Dr. D.D. Palmer did it, not by “curing” or “fixing” the person, but by creating opportunity for the body to heal itself through the elimination of nervous system interference (subluxation) due to spinal problems.

We have had lots of calls and messages asking if we are open and if the office stayed dry. Yes, we are open, and yes, we stayed dry! The waters had to have gotten close based on houses and buildings near by that got flooded, but we got lucky.

We are here for you, Waverly. We have been out in the community helping, as well as being in the office to serve up adjustments. In the office, we hope to be a small dose of “normal” for you. In the community, we hope to be a small dose of kindness.

We know there have been so many people helping in the community, both locals and from other places. If you know of a need that isn’t being met, please let us know in the comments or message us. We will do our best to meet the need ourselves or find someone that can.

Praying for all whose lives were changed by these flood waters. ❤️🙏🏼

We are here to serve you! We open early for you! We stay late for you! We stay late so that we can serve anyone that may need us late at night and allow Our News Partners a place to use WiFi and accurately depict the devastation of our County.

You are not in this alone! We will continue to serve you for as long as needed. We won’t stop. We are here for you. You do not have to carry the burden alone, we can carry some of the weight for you.

We are on our way in but we won’t be there in time for office hours at 10. We have been rerouted around bad roads. Sorry for the inconvenience.
