Reconsider

Reconsider Humanity is living way beneath our potential. We are currently creating a center for transformative work in the Hudson Valley, NY.

Reconsider creates spaces and experiences —including media and gatherings—that empower individuals and communities to create more compassionate, connected, and inspired lives and world. Reconsider is an organization that inspires innovation, encourages creativity, stirs responsibility, and forms community in an effort to make our world more dynamic, connected, and inspiring. We believe that the fi

rst step in creating a new world resides in taking time to reconsider what we are valuing, what choices we are making, and what worldview we are creating from.

Many beliefs shaping your life were inherited.

Each of us is born into ongoing stories.

Stories about life. Stories about identity. Stories about what is possible.

Awareness begins when we notice the narratives we carry from generations before us.

What are the most important things to you in life? What is it that you really value about your time here on earth?

Curiosity about life and what we are doing here reconnects us to our own lives and opens possibilities we may not have pondered before.

Welcome to the mystery of your own life!

We all will experience challenges on this journey. Instead of asking “What is wrong with you ?”, ask, “What would you like to create with your life?” Life is a mysterious gift and what we do with it is our opportuity to life fully into it.

Reflect for a moment. What do you believe life is about? What experiences are shaping your perspective?

Children often experience life with curiosity and wonder. Reconnecting with that curiosity allows us to rediscover the mystery of being alive.

As war in the Middle East escalates, we are called to educate, shift consciousness, and try to change our world. This inspirational documentary follows a group of former Israeli and Palestinian fighters working together to rediscover their shared humanity, and teach the world what is possible when we refuse to accept violence and dehumanization as a way to live.

The event takes place on Sunday, April 19th, from 6:00 - 8:30 p.m. at Berkeley’s Brower Center, followed by Q & A with Reconsider filmmakers Stephen Apkon and Marcina Hale, along with members of Combatants for Peace, a grassroots movement of Israelis and Palestinians working together to end the occupation and bring peace, equality, and freedom to their homeland.

When is the last time you asked this question?

What is life actually about?

As children many of us approached life with curiosity and wonder. We sensed connection. We sensed possibility. Somewhere along the way we stopped asking this question.

Curiosity invites us back into the exploration of life.

The way we make a better world is by acknowledging the pain that we feel in the losses through war. Grief has no boundaries and is felt by all that can feel the loss of our humanity through war. There Is Another Way
