“Reiki is the secret art…”
“Secret” here doesn’t mean hidden or exclusive.
It means subtle—something that can’t be grasped by the intellect alone. Reiki is learned through experience, presence, and attunement, not just study. It’s an art because it requires sensitivity, humility, and listening rather than technique or force.
⸻
“…of inviting blessings”
This is the heart of Reiki.
Usui did not speak of doing healing, but inviting it. Reiki teaches us to step out of control and into receptivity. Blessings arrive when the practitioner becomes empty, aligned, and open—allowing universal life energy to flow where it is needed.
Healing, in this sense, is grace—not effort.
⸻
“…and the spiritual medicine…”
Usui called Reiki medicine, but not in the conventional sense.
It is spiritual nourishment—something that restores harmony at the level of consciousness. When the spirit is balanced, the body and emotions naturally follow. Reiki works at the root, not just the symptom.
⸻
“…for all diseases”
Usui was pointing beyond diagnosis.
“Disease” can be read as dis-ease—any state where we are out of alignment with ourselves: physically, emotionally, mentally, or energetically. Reiki doesn’t promise instant cures; it supports the body’s innate intelligence to return to balance in its own timing.
Healing may look like relief, acceptance, clarity, peace, or transformation—and all of these are valid medicines.
This message reminds us:
• You are not the healer—you are the channel
• Healing is not forced—it is allowed
• The body is not broken—it is remembering.
Reiki, at its core, is a way of living in alignment, gratitude, and trust.
Healing, in this sense, is grace—not effort.
