Dear women in ag,
I wish you would stop being so hard on yourselves.
If the house isn't clean because you're busy raising babies, harvesting crops, working cattle, building a career, or any of the other million things that need your immediate attention, it's okay. I promise the dishes and laundry will still be there when things slow down.
Even if your home doesn't look like your Pinterest boards, or won't ever be featured in "Better Homes and Gardens", my guess is that it is filled with love-- and honestly, that's a hundred times better anyways. Muddy boots and dust covered jeans, pockets full of knives and grain and broken bolts, and equipment manuals and stock journals are just part of this life.
It's okay for things to be messy, and unorganized, and occasionally fall a little behind.
It's okay for meals to not always include greens.
Your kids will still love you, even when you fall asleep in the recliner while supper cooks on the stove; and especially when you aren't perfect.
Real friends will understand that you are busy living.
Give yourself grace. I know you are doing the best you can 💙
❤️ Richelle
