That relentless urge to scratch your feet isn't just annoying—it's your body signaling a problem.
Here's what might be happening:
🍄 Athlete's Foot: The classic cause. Intense itching, burning, and peeling, usually starting between the toes. Fungus thrives in sweaty shoes!
🧼 Contact Allergies: Did you switch laundry detergents? Buy new shoes? The glue in footwear or chemicals in soap can trigger an allergic reaction called contact dermatitis.
🌵 Dry Skin: Especially in colder months, a lack of moisture can make skin tight and itchy. If your heels are flaky, this is likely the cause.
⚠️ The Warning Signs: Sometimes, itching without a rash is a deeper issue. It can be a sign of nerve damage (neuropathy), diabetes, or liver/kidney issues.
The Bottom Line? Occasional itching is normal. Persistent itching is not! Contact us; we can help: https://tinyurl.com/4w23wbpa
