After nearly 20 years of service to the Wayne Community, Providence Wellness Center is out of the basement and in our own brand new STATE OF THE ART facility filled with top of the line equipment including treadmills, Arc Trainers, Expresso Bikes, Strength Equipment, Free Weights, CT-8 Fitness Training System and much much more. Group Fitness classes such as Boot Camps, Yoga, Body Sculpting, Youth Sport Enhancement, Senior Fitness run every day.

Our Senior Strength Class takes place every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00-8:45 AM and 9:00-9:45 AM. The class is designed to increase flexibility, joint stability, balance, coordination, agility, muscular strength, and cardiovascular endurance.

Please take note of the upcoming changes to the Senior Strength Class Schedule for the next few weeks, including this Friday, October 31st.

This week we are highlighting our Mind-Body Classes here at PWC! We have a handful of wonderful Yoga and Pilates classes that are taught by our Certified Instructors!

{ GENTLE YOGA } is great for anyone at any level, especially if you are newer to yoga or those that enjoy slowing down, breathing and are interested in more of a gentle practice. This is a Vinyasa style class, focusing on incorporating the breath into every movement, flowing between a sequence of poses, focusing on alignment, strength, balance, flexibility and relaxation of the mind. We end each class in a final relaxation pose for Savasana.

{ YOGA SWEAT } is a HEATED class :) Heat is purifying, cleansing and healing. Adding warmth prepares muscles and connective tissue for deeper stretches and facilitates perspiration, which serves to cleanse the body as well as clear the mind. This class is also a Vinyasa style class, meaning we incorporate breath into every movement as we focus on alignment, but the temperature is warmer and the flow focuses a little more on strength, incorporating strong standing postures, deep stretches, more balance work and occasional options to try inversions if they food good! Although this class is a little more advanced than Gentle Yoga, and the room is warmer, it is still an great class for beginners that want a little bit more out of their workout. We also end each class with Savasna! Reach out and let Heidi know if you are interested in checking out this class so she knows you are coming and can prepare.

{ PILATES YOGA FLOW } is a class Heidi has been teaching here for almost 18 years! Kimberly and Heidi now alternate weeks and we fuse Pilates with some Yoga stretches and poses to created the best workout for your Friday morning! We use bands, toning balls, pilates circles and a variety of other equipment to strengthen and lengthen muscles, increase flexibility, strengthen the core and better balance the body. This is a 'feel good' class that everyone loves!

It's Never Too Late For Fitness!!!

Our Senior Strength Classes at PWC are a great place to come to stay active, build strength, work on balance and improve flexibility!

We meet every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8-8:45AM and again 9-9:45AM. This class consists of both men and women of all different ages and fitness levels.

If you are looking to get started with an exercise routine, or maybe just want to continue staying active, come check us out!!!
