The five (5) bills aim to restrict the sale of flavored to***co products in Michigan. Here is an overview of the bill that addresses the ‘PUP’ penalty.

Repeals purchase, use, and possession (‘PUP’), a law that currently shifts responsibility for compliance away from retailers who profit from to***co sales and instead target kids. PUP policies have not been shown to be effective in reducing youth to***co use.

Call your representative in Lansing and urge them to support this package so that we can enjoy a healthier Michigan.

This fall, we anticipate the Michigan Legislature will introduce a series of five (5) bills that aim to restrict the sale of flavored to***co products in our state. Over the next five days, we will highlight each bill.

Establish a To***co Retail License. Today, the state does not require a license to sale to***co products. If approved, this bill would require those who wish to sale to***co products to secure a license first.

We want to thank our speaker, the distinguished professor, gifted writer, and prominent media personality, Dr. Michael Eric Dyson and Munson Steed, Founder of Rolling Out Magazine and also Dr. Gregory Bolden, Center for Black Health and Equity, and Dr. Theresa Holtrop, Director of Kids Health Connections.

One day I hope that we have a world where there’s no smoke and there comes a generation that won’t know about smoke. One day, with your help, we will have a generation of people who know nothing about to***co products in our community and preventable death rates will decrease dramatically.
