Waynesboro Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship Committee

You still have 4 days left (5pm, March 13th deadline) to get your completed applications in for the three scholarships available. They can be dropped off to the receptionist at the Waynesboro Hospital by 5pm. Detailed information can be found on each scholarship's "Information Sheet".

1. Health Career Scholarship - for graduating senior students in the Waynesboro Area School District, Greencastle-Antrim School District, and homeschool or virtual school students living within the above mentioned school districts with the intent of pursuing a career in the human health care field.
2. Pearle E. Warren Nursing Scholarship - the applicant must be a full- or part-time employee of the Waynesboro Hospital and registered in their 2nd year or beyond of a nursing or certified registered nurse midwife curriculum with a graduation date of December 2026 or later.
3. Laboratory Memorial Scholarship -any student enrolled in an accredited program at a community college, college or university leading to a certificate or certification as a Phlebotomist, Medical Laboratory Technician, or Medical Technologist with a graduation date of December 2026 or after.

If you, a family member or friend is interested in any of the 3 Waynesboro Hospital Auxiliary scholarships below, March 13th is the due date to turn in your completed applications and accompanying documents. All information is provided in the scholarship packet cover sheets for:
1. The Health Career Scholarship, for 2026 graduating seniors in the Waynesboro and Greencastle-Antrim school districts going into the human health care field. A one-page typed personal statement/essay on why you chose the health care field you are majoring in is required.
2. The Pearle E. Warren Nursing Scholarship, for a 2nd year nursing student employed at the WellSpan Waynesboro Hospital, graduating in December 2026 or after. A one-page typed essay stating your Nursing or Certified Registered Nurse Midwife career goals and why the scholarship should be awarded to you is required.
3. The Laboratory Memorial Scholarship, for anyone enrolled in a Phlebotomy, Medical Technician, or Medical Technologist program at any school/university, graduating in December 2026 or after. A one-page typed essay stating your career goals and why the scholarship should be awarded to you is required. Applicant does not need to be an employee of the Waynesboro Hospital.

Local scholarships may not offer the same amount of money as national scholarships, but they can still a great way to fund your education. With fewer applicants, your chances of winning may be higher. Plus, every little bit when it comes to paying for college.
