Today we celebrated an incredible milestone at our WFM clinic — 50,000 patient encounters in just one year!

We are grateful for every member of our team who made this possible: our providers, nurses, support staff, care coordinators, financial navigators, receptionists, and more. It truly takes all of us working together, and this achievement wouldn’t be possible without each one of them.

Their roles often require sacrifice, and many never fully get the chance to “clock out” mentally. We are incredibly thankful for this team’s dedication, compassion, and commitment to our community. They work tirelessly to ensure our patients are cared for — and we couldn’t be more proud or more grateful.

A huge accomplishment — and we’re grateful for the trust our community places in us every day!

There’s no better day than Thanksgiving to highlight our November Spotlight Employee — Taylor Bishop!
Taylor is spending her Thanksgiving working today, continuing to care for our patients with the same dedication she always shows.

Taylor is from Quitman, MS, and is married with a little girl. She serves as a Respiratory Therapist in our Respiratory Department and has been a valued part of the Wayne General Hospital team for nearly seven years.

After completing the Respiratory Therapist Program at Meridian Community College, Taylor began her career at South Central before joining WGH — and we’ve been fortunate to have her ever since.

Taylor’s dedication shined brightly during the COVID-19 pandemic. She bravely served on the frontlines while pregnant, facing some of the most challenging moments of her career. She shared that although that season was incredibly difficult, it was also deeply meaningful:

“We witnessed a few miracles doing what we do — seeing people walk away after COVID is something I’ll never forget.”

When asked about her favorite part of working at Wayne General, Taylor immediately mentioned her team:

“They’re more like family, especially after everything we went through during COVID. It feels like family here.”

Taylor’s manager describes her as dependable, hardworking, and always willing to step in wherever she’s needed — the kind of person you’d trust to stand by you during even the toughest moments.
