Due to the federal government shutdown, benefits for the Supplemental Nutrition Program (SNAP) will not be delivered on schedule for November 2025. This means TDHS cannot distribute November SNAP benefits to customers.
Updates on this situation are ongoing. As we have more information, we will share updates on our website and socials. Here are some details Tennesseans should know:

➕October benefits for SNAP were delivered. If you are a current SNAP recipient and have benefits on your EBT card, you can still use these benefits. When using benefits, remember: new benefits will not be delivered until the federal shutdown ends or Congress reaches a new agreement.

➕TDHS will continue to accept and process new SNAP applications, but new benefits will not be delivered until the shutdown ends or Congress reaches an agreement.

SNAP and many programs administered by the Tennessee Department of Human Services (TDHS) are federally funded. Our department received notice from our federal partners: If the federal shutdown continues, benefits for the Supplemental Nutrition Program (SNAP) will not be available for November 2025. This means current SNAP customers will not receive monthly benefits on schedule.

➕Previously delivered benefits (benefits already on an EBT card) will not be impacted for Tennesseans who are already participating in the SNAP program.
➕Current SNAP recipients can continue utilizing the balance on their EBT card, but should be mindful of the anticipated adjustment to benefit delivery.
➕The federal government shutdown may also impact new applications and related processing times for SNAP.

Buffalo River Service's recently celebrated Tonya Hannah's 5th year employment anniversary. Tonya received a plaque (which she says is her favorite thing), a Level increase to DSP Level 3 that also comes with a pay increase, and 2 Buffalo Bucks.
Tonya we appreciate all you do for BRS and the individuals you care for!

Noel Martin completed her training and employment requirements. She received a level increase from DSP Trainee to a DSP Level 1. This comes with a pay increase and a Level 1 pin. She also received the 1st half of her sign on Bonus.
Congratulations Noel!! 🎉
