While it was a terrible event that happened sometime between May 9th and May 10th, we at Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc. would like to clarify that a van with 3 cadavers was stolen(and quickly recovered) from Wilbert Crematory in Mt. Morris.....not from our Mt. Morris Funeral Home....or any funeral home in Mt. Morris for that matter. There have been confusing reports from the local news stations that the van was stolen from a funeral home and that simply was not the case. We are grateful to our local authorities for being swift and thorough with the handling of this delicate situation. The investigation is ongoing.

The staff at Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc. would like to thank all the men, women and children that came out and volunteered their time today to help load boxes of food into the backs of hundreds of vehicles. It was wonderful to see so many in the community come together for others in need! Remember..

During these difficult times, we here at Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc. wanted to let our families know that we are praying for everyone and our country to not panic but to follow the guidelines set up by our government and trust that God is in control.
On our part, we have always and will continue to clean thoroughly our facilities to protect our families and those entering our funeral homes. Though we welcome all, we ask that if you are sick please stay home instead of visiting the funeral home where you would be in close proximity to many others. Send a card, give the family a call, or visit them when you’re feeling better. Working together we will get ahead of this virus.
Again know that we appreciate all those who have and will entrust us with the care of their loved ones. And we care deeply for all and will continue to pray for all, especially those that have lost loved ones.
