🎉 Celebrating One Year of Service at Garrett Funeral Home 🎉

We are incredibly proud to recognize Cheyenne Jarvis, our Funeral Home Apprentice Funeral Director, on her one-year anniversary here at Garrett Funeral Home.

Over the past year, Cheyenne has been truly wonderful in caring for the families we serve. Her compassion, professionalism, and dedication shine through in everything she does. The customer service reviews she has received have been nothing short of remarkable.

As a manager, there is no greater affirmation than having families personally come to me and share how special Cheyenne made their experience during such a difficult time. Moments like that remind you that you have the right person on your team.

Our Story

Founded in 1928 by N.W. Garrett and his wife, Mary Moody Garrett, Garrett Funeral Home is one of the oldest funeral homes in Waynesville, serving Haywood, Jackson, Madison and Buncomb counties. Our funeral home offers a setting where guests feel at home as they relax in rocking chairs on our covered porch. To add to our appeal, we maintain landscaping with colorful flowers and trees. We also offer on-site parking.

In our lobby stands an antique grandfather clock from the original funeral home. Elegantly decorated in warm colors, our 2 arrangement rooms and 4 private visitation rooms offer solace to families making final arrangements for their loved ones. Our selection room features a variety of caskets, urns and an array of personalized items.

Chapel Amenities

Our chapel at Garrett Funeral Home, which comfortably seats 250 guests and can be used for visitation services, contains cushioned pews, an organ, a piano and large screens to display video tributes. We also offer a private family room adjacent to the chapel.
