Since its beginnings in 1904 the Quaker Heights Care Community has grown from a boarding home to a 30 bed Assisted Living and a 98-bed, Medicare and Medicaid certified facility offering short term rest and respite care, comprehensive restorative care to help residents regain their full potential, and long term skilled nursing services.

At Ohio Living Quaker Heights, caring for our caregivers means caring for our residents. Thanks to a workforce development fund from the Ohio Living Foundation, 32 team members received safe, supportive shoes through our partnership with locally owned Up and Running. Many shared they have never had shoes this comfortable. How do you see practical support like this impacting quality of care?

Susan “Lynn” Hill’s life story is one of curiosity, dedication, and lifelong learning. Growing up in a coal camp in West Virginia, Lynn learned early the value of hard work and education—values that would guide her through a fulfilling career as a teacher.

Today, Lynn proudly counts earning her master’s degree as her greatest accomplishment, a testament to her belief in the power of education. An avid reader and world traveler, she has explored every continent except Antarctica—and even ventured to Alaska.

Her words of wisdom say it all: “Be good to the teachers.”

We’re grateful to have Lynn as part of the community at Ohio Living Quaker Heights, where stories like hers continue to inspire every day.
