Have you met with our Corrective Exercise Specialisd, Kayla Dee?
What is corrective exercise?
🤓 I have obtained my NASM Corrective Exercise Specialization Certification, along with my Exercise Physiology degree which allows me to apply client-specific programs and protocols to help reduce muscular dysfunction and allow my clients to move, feel and live better. By implementing the corrective exercise continuum (inhibit, lengthen, activate and integrate), my goal is to teach my clients how to safely introduce (or re-introduce if recovering from dysfunction), movement patterns to assist in more efficient movements.
⚡️I work one-on-one with each of my clients applying a variety of techniques which include: active isolated stretching, muscle activation, trigger point therapy, Hypervolt, deep tissue neuromuscular massage, corrective exercises and more. I have found that in my 10+ years of personal training experience, finding the root of muscular dysfunction and imbalances is where many lack in proper movement and mobility, which can lead to repeated discomfort, pain and frustration.
❤️ I work with a variety of different clients ranging from those suffering from acute, chronic pain to professional athletes to clients who just want to continue to move better! Please come and see me if you’re looking for longevity in moving, feeling and living better...I don’t do quick fixes! 😉
🙅🏻♀️What Corrective Exercise is NOT🙅🏻♀️
Corrective exercise is not a replacement or alternative to physical therapy or doctor recommended therapy. Always consult your practitioners prior to beginning any new program.
