Days like this remind me what it truly means to be an essential worker.
Before the roads were cleared, before the weather eased, before it was “convenient” — patients still needed care. And we showed up. Not because it was easy, but because we made a commitment to serve, and to take care of people no matter the circumstances.
Healthcare isn’t a 9–5 job that pauses for snow, storms, or uncertainty. It’s a promise. A responsibility. A calling that often requires sacrifice, grit, and trust that what we do matters — even when the road ahead looks long and frozen.
To every nurse, provider, first responder, and essential worker who has driven roads like this with the community they serve on their mind — thank you. Your dedication does not go unnoticed.
