Today we dove into pteridomania — the Victorian‑era obsession with ferns — and it was a hit! Our residents learned about this fascinating botanical craze and then created their own fern-inspired botanical prints.
With every press, pattern, and stroke, they proved that the fern frenzy still carries a little magic. Nature + creativity = the perfect morning. 🌿🎨💚

Gus from Beyond Faith Hospice made our day brighter, softer, and full of smiles. His calming presence brought comfort to everyone he visited, and our residents absolutely loved spending time with him.

💕✨ Love Was in the Air at Our Life Long Learning Session! ✨💕
For the grand finale of our Adventures of the Heart theme, we stepped into the world of William Shakespeare and explored the many ways love can be felt, spoken, and shared. From timeless romance to heartfelt friendship, his words reminded us that love truly never goes out of style. 📜❤️
Using the beautiful handmade paper we created in our previous session, our residents selected their favorite Shakespeare quotes and transformed them into stunning, one‑of‑a‑kind collages — each piece as unique and meaningful as the love it represents. 🎨💌
The room was filled with smiles, stories, and creativity… proof that love, like art, only grows richer with time. ✨🌹

Gus made his rounds, collected compliments, accepted pets like royalty, and reminded us all that puppy love is the best kind of therapy. We’re already counting down until his next visit!

For this month’s Lifelong Learning: Adventures of the Heart, we took a beautiful trip back in time! This week, we explored expressions of love in Ancient China and Ancient Egypt, reading poetic lines that once lived on delicate papyrus thousands of years ago. 📜❤️
Inspired by the traditions of the past, we rolled up our sleeves for our own modern‑day papermaking workshop! Residents mixed, pressed, and shaped their pages with creativity and care. Now we wait (not so patiently 😉) for our handmade sheets to dry so we can use them in next week’s lesson.
History, heart, and a little hands‑on magic all in one afternoon! ✨💕
