Crazy weather couldn’t keep us from having an awesome weekend! We advanced to Tulsa finals for the third time in school history! We are also excited for our promotion to SA in NTCA. Congrats to Team Texas all making finals including our friends at Prosper HS and Sherman HS. Now to finish the the season strong. Thanks to all our parents for cheering us on and the Berdine family for getting all our stuff to the show.

Your WHS Varsity Winter Guard has advanced to finals at the WGI Tulsa Regional! This is now the 3rd time in school history for this achievement! The group performs in finals at 10 AM on Sunday! Make sure to cheer them on!

Good evening Roo Band families,
Tuesday will be our monthly booster club meeting. Any member of the WBFC is welcome to join us, and if you are curious about volunteering next marching season or possibly considering a seat on our executive board, it’s a great way to see what that entails. We are always looking for involved parents and have opportunities for so many different talents and skill sets.

Our friendly band moms and band kids are here to collect your marching uniforms until 12! Drive thru service will get you in and out quickly 🚙😊

Hello Roo Band families!
Marching uniform return will be next Saturday, 2/28 from 10am to 12pm. We are using a drive thru format this time, for speedier service! We will have a team outside collecting your uniform from your car, and a team inside putting them away. Parents- we will need some volunteers to come out and help us get this done, and we will need a whole army of band kids also. Parents, sign up to help here:

Students, please let Mr. Buckner know if you are available to come help. Volunteer shifts will be from 9-1 so that we can set up and clean up after, but we may be done early.
‼️*Important!* Don’t forget to wash your uniforms and remove any personal items from your shako boxes. Please make sure your name and grade are on your garment bag and shako box. This will make things much faster for us. Thank you all, see you there!

Tuesday! Join us at Raising Cane’s for a Mardi Gras give back night, with a special appearance from our very own Fightin’ Roo Band drumline! Make sure you mention you’re there for the Weatherford band fundraiser and we will receive a portion of the profits. See you there!

We are so proud of the musicians who represented the Fightin’ Roo Band at Area auditions today! Thank you for all your hard work to get to this point.

Special congratulations go out to sophomore percussionist Adrian Ma for getting second overall and advancing to the All State level! He will audition later this month to determine which ensemble he will perform with at the Texas Music Educators Association’s State Conference in February! This is a huge achievement and we are so excited for you Adrian!
