It’s been an incredible weekend of firsts for Weatherford HS Indoor Drumline! First trip to Dayton for world championships, first time advancing to semis, and now FINALISTS! “Night Demons” was once again 2nd in their round and now 5th overall going into tonight’s finals run.

Staff and students are so excited for one last run, this time at the University of Dayton Arena! Performance time is 9:08 CST!

Weatherford HS Indoor Percussion had an amazing run in prelims and the judges agreed! Competing at WGI World Championships for the first time in school history, we are so excited to share that the group has also advanced to Semi-Finals!

The ensemble ended the day in 2nd in their round, and the 8th highest score of the day. The group has a short rehearsal in the morning before competing in their semi-finals at 1:34pm CST. If the group finishes in the top 15 scores, they will advance to finals tomorrow night in the University of Dayton Arena. This would be an amazing feat for a first time group competing at this level. We are so excited to see them perform their show “Night Demons” once again!

Your Weatherford HS Indoor Percussion has made it to Dayton, Ohio for Winter Guard International World Championships! After getting in Wednesday afternoon, performers had rehearsal last night and this morning. They will compete at 5:13pm CST for prelims!

Your Nationally recognized Weatherford High School Color Guard is looking for new members for the Fall 2026 season. Color guard is a competitive and artistic activity where you will learn the basics of dance and spinning flags alongside the marching band. This award-winning activity is open to students going in grades 9th-12th and will have an experience camp April 20th through 23rd. We will meet in the Ninth Grade Center A Gym from 4:30 to 6:30 pm. Look for students holding flags outside. We ask that you come in form fitting active wear and tennis shoes. If you have any questions please email Mr. Good.

It’s been a busy past few days for all the members of the Fightin’ Roo Band!

Congrats to all 3 bands and a great showing at UIL Concert and Sight-Reading contest! We are especially excited for concert band who hasn’t competed since before Covid!

The winter guard had a fantastic end to their season with some of their highest scores a placements in their respective classifications!

Indoor Percussion is still going strong with NTCA Championships and WGI World Championships coming up in the next few weeks! These kids are working so hard to place well for their first trip to Dayton!

Auditions for next year, leadership tryouts, state solo and ensemble, percussion concert, spring concert, and graduation are fast approaching. Here’s to a great finish to the year!
