Wreaths Across America truck will be delivering our wreaths to Memory Gardens on Friday. I will post the time as soon as I know it. It you would like to line the highway and cheer our volunteer driver on please feel free to do so!

American Legion Post 163 will hold a Memorial Day ceremony at Memory Gardens at 10am on Monday, May 30th. Following the ceremony flags will be placed on Veteran's graves and hot dogs will be served till we run out!

Please join us in remembering those who gave all!

Wreaths arrived last night for Wreaths Across America at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Come on out tomorrow morning. You will want to be here a little before 11 am to see the most amazing sight, Dana Bowman jumping from a helicopter with a huge flag (not to worry it will touch the ground but it is a banner). He will be on the ground at 11:00 am and the ceremony will begin. Bring tissues!

Memory Gardens has some of the most beautiful marble statues in our area. The statues were imported from Italy in the late 1950's or early 1960's. Come out and see the transformation, we are in the process of cleaning them and bringing them back to their original beauty.

Memorial Day, May 31, 2021 is a time to honor the men and women who have died while serving in the military. Please join us on Monday, May 31, 2021 at 10 am as we honor them. This is a good time to teach your children honor and respect.

FEMA Covid-19 Funeral Assistance Program will be open on Monday, April 12th. If you paid funeral expenses on someone who passed away from Covid 19, you may be able to receive money from FEMA. To see if you are eligible call the Funeral Assistance Call Center at 844-684-6333 from 8am -8pm Central Time, Monday-Friday. This toll free number is the only way to apply.
*You will need a copy of the death certificate showing that Covid-19 was a direct or indirect cause of death.
Please share this and get the word out!
*Funeral expense documentation.
*Proof of funds received from other sources (insurance, etc.)
Maximum reimbursement is up to $9,000.00.

Looking for a full time care taker for our sister cemetery. Monday - Saturday from 7am till 4pm.

Mowing with zero turn and push mower, w**d eating, moving dirt, setting monuments, trimming trees, and possibly meeting with family members and funeral homes.

You may be asked to work at other locations as time allows.

You must be able to be at work on time everyday. Must have reliable transportation. Must be able to work independently with little supervision. Must be able to lift heavy objects.

Thank you to all who donated or volunteered for Wreaths Across America. American Legion Post 163 made this possible along with the donors and volunteers. Thank you also to Walmart for coming out and warming people up with hot chocolate and coffee.

Just got the call that our wreaths for Wreaths Across America will come in on Tuesday. We will be placing wreaths on Saturday the 19th at 11 am at Memory Gardens, 5600 Mineral Wells Hwy., Weatherford. Let me know if you would like to volunteer to help place the wreaths.

We are 171 wreaths away from having a wreath for every veteran in our cemetery on December 19th. If you would like to sponsor a wreath ($15 each) or even just make a donation of any amount make a check payable to Wreaths Across America and mail it to: Memory Gardens of the Valley, 5600 Mineral Wells Hwy., Weatherford, TX 76088. We must receive all checks by November 25, 2020 to ensure proper credit.
