There is something worth acknowledging in every step forward, no matter how small it might seem at the time. Getting through a long period of discomfort, completing a care plan, or simply showing up consistently for your health…these are real achievements. We love being part of that journey, and we are genuinely proud of the progress we see every day.
Staying mobile as you get older is one of the most reliable predictors of long-term independence and quality of life. Chiropractic care can play a real role in maintaining joint mobility, reducing stiffness, and supporting the nervous system function that keeps balance and coordination sharp. Many older adults find that regular care helps them stay active in the ways that matter most to them.
The position you sleep in has a bigger impact on spinal health than many people expect. Sleeping face down puts the neck in sustained rotation for hours at a time, which can contribute to stiffness and strain over the long term. Side sleeping with a pillow that keeps your neck in a neutral position tends to be the most supportive option for spinal alignment.

Most people know that prolonged sitting is hard on the back, but the effect goes deeper than posture. Research has found that extended static positions reduce the pumping action that moves fluid through spinal discs, which is how those discs receive nutrients. Movement breaks are not just good for your muscles. They are genuinely necessary for disc health over the long term.

Easter is a time for gathering and celebration, and the day often involves more physical activity than people expect. Whether you are on your feet for extended periods or lifting little ones throughout the day, be sure to move thoughtfully and listen to your body through all of it. Wishing you and your family a joyful Easter!

Wishing you a wonderful Easter from all of us. We hope the long weekend brings rest, movement, and time with the people you love.
Progress in your health is rarely linear, and that is completely normal. There will be weeks where you feel strong and weeks where old patterns creep back in. What matters most is staying consistent with the habits that support you, including your care. Every visit matters.

This year, we're celebrating our 15th practice anniversary and feeling so grateful for each of you who trust us with your care. Your health journeys inspire us every day!
Your body has a natural ability to heal and regulate itself, and the nervous system is the coordinator of all of it. When spinal joints are not moving freely, that coordination can be compromised in subtle ways, affecting everything from muscle recovery to how well you handle daily physical stress. Chiropractic care works by restoring the conditions that let that system do its job.

Dr. McAfee grew up in Fort Worth, TX. He attended high school at the prestigious Fort Worth Southwest Christian. He was a stand out two-sport athlete accumulating multiple honors and school records that still stand to this day. Some of those honors include two-time All-State recipient in both Baseball and Football.
After High School Dr. McAfee decided to continue his athletic career at Harding University in Arkansas. While playing baseball on scholarship for Harding, Dr. McAfee injured his lower back. Doctors told him he could no longer work out but more importantly that his athletic career was in jeopardy. After multiple failed medical procedures and countless prescriptions with no relief he was starting to lose hope. While home on Christmas break, he visited his friend’s Chiropractor. After a couple weeks of treatment, the chiropractor was able to completely restore normal function in his lower back and more importantly help him understand true healing.
It was this interaction that changed the course of Dr. McAfee’s life. He decided that he wanted to become a Chiropractor so that he could help people achieve health naturally, without the use of drugs and surgery. Dr. McAfee opened the doors to McAfee Chiropractic in Weatherford, TX in 2011. In a very short amount of time he has established an incredible reputation founded on exceptional results, loyal relationships with patients and integrity.
Dr. McAfee also is a head coach for a very reputable consulting company for Chiropractors. He travels the US monthly teaching other Chiropractors how to better communicate and serve their communities more effectively.
Dr. McAfee is highly involved in the community. He and his family are active members at North Side Baptist Church. He is a proud member and Past President of Weatherford Noon Lions Club.
When Dr. McAfee isn’t practicing, or educating Chiropractors, he can be found on his 150-acre Ranch in Weatherford with his beautiful wife Trisha and their three young boys living, laughing and serving.
