On Thursday, October 28th at 12pm, Nicholas Lockyear, a recent swosu graduate and the current community resident at Total Dose in Edmond, Ok. will be visiting us for a luncheon panel. This panel will allow him to share his experience with the rotation, as well as answer questions any curious students may have regarding a residency in community pharmacy. Swosu’s NCPA Student Chapter is showing out this year at Annual Convention with the National Recognition of not one, but two Swosu Chapter Members!

Brianne Crews (P4) is the current Student Leadership Council Secretary and the Senior Representative for Region 7. Bri’s involvement within NCPA is all encompassing, expressing true passion for Independent Community Pharmacy. Her expertise in pharmacy ownership and operations is second to no other student-pharmacist in the state!

Jackson Beach (P2) is the current Student Leadership Council Secretary-Elect and the Junior Representative for Region 6. Jackson has established himself as one of the largest student-pharmacist advocates of Pharmacy Legislation in the state, fighting to Preserve Independent Community Pharmacy for the Future!

NCPA’s Student Leadership Council is comprised of 16 students nationally, and your Swosu Chapter has Two students on the Council at the same time!!! Let’s keep Swosu’s Chapter in the national spotlight by applying for Student Leadership Council today. P2’s and P3’s are eligible.

Last month, legislative representatives from SWOSU’s NCPA and APhA chapter had the great opportunity to visit with Debra Billingsley of OPhA. Deb is the driving force behind the preservation of independent community pharmacy in our state. She does so by propelling favorable legislation all the way to the governor’s desk. Thank you for getting us up to speed for this coming legislative session. We will see you all at the Capitol!!
