Definition of vibe (noun): the atmosphere of a place as communicated to and felt by others.

Before the lotions.
Before the scrubs.
Before the fragrance blends…

There was massage therapy; Health and fitness had become fascinating, and massage just jumped in the mix, it found me.
Just a Granby girl working her way through Crowder, and by her Dad’s suggestion of being employed at La-Z-Boy, I had a very full plate when massage therapy entered my life. Little did I even know, it was the path God had for me.
Every path I followed toughened and enlightened. I’m thankful for it all💪🏻

Over the course of my career, I’ve worked with hundreds and hundreds of clients — and after more than 600 open client files, I started noticing patterns.

People came in with similar concerns:
sensitive skin, irritation, headaches, hormone struggles, inflammation, fatigue.

And while listening to their stories, I started connecting dots…

The products they used every day —
their lotions, soaps, perfumes, deodorants, laundry products — often contained things like:

• phthalates
• formaldehyde-releasing preservatives
• harsh sulphates
• petroleum-derived ingredients

All in products we use on our bodies daily.

That realization changed everything for me.

I didn’t want to just treat symptoms anymore —
I wanted to help people reduce what might be contributing in the first place.

So I started formulating.

Learning. Testing. Refining.

And Alchemist Haven was born from a simple belief:

What we put on our bodies should be as intentional as what we put in them.

This business wasn’t created to follow trends.
It was built from experience, observation, and care.

And it continues to grow from that same purpose today. 💛

We will be keeping an eye on this. For appointments next week with me on Monday and Tuesday, it’s a possibility we may have to reschedule, but we’ll just have to see. 😀

I will get you updated videos here shortly. We are going to up and go in the 8-12" range. Better chances for higher than 8" will be along and south of I-44. Better chances for closer to 8" will be north of I-44. 🙃I know the map says Tuesday, I just ran the date out to cover the entire storm. Snow begins tomorrow night and out of here late Sunday

Swipe to see who I was when I began my career journey⬅️
Last night, I was doing a facial. On a really sweet client who told me “this was the best facial I’ve ever had” (I’d be lying if I said I didn’t hear this regularly 💟). It was 6:30pm. I turned my mag lamp off to do her facial massage (I often do this to add to the whole relaxation thing 🙃) and realized “Oh. It’s like, completely dark in here.” Oh well. I continued to do her massage and didn’t miss a beat. I thought to myself “I could probably do this entire facial with my eyes closed😂” —EXCEPT THE DERMAPLANING—
Then it occurred to me: I’ve been in this field for NINE YEARS this year. 9 years!! No wonder I feel like I could do it with my eyes closed or in total darkness.
I am filled with SUCH gratitude thinking about how long I’ve been doing this, how many amazing people I’ve met, how many incredible conversations I’ve had with clients, and the connections I’ve made that are so dear to me.
I went from working in Macy’s helping out at whatever cosmetic counter needed staffed, to landing my dream job (at the time) as a MAC makeup artist, to then using my artistry skills to start my own freelance makeup business, which led to me being discovered and offered an esthetics apprenticeship. Now here I am running a 6 figure solo business, working 3 days a week, and giving other girls a space to follow their dreams in. As I always say, blessed is an understatement. 🙌🏻🙌🏻
