Together with and Tapcheck, we asked agencies to highlight caregivers who go above and beyond every day. Seniors Home Care’s entry stood out for its dedication, heart, and strong commitment to excellent care.

🌅 Sundowning is a mid-later stage affect experienced by many with dementia. As daylight fades, they may become restless, confused, suspicious, or even aggressive.

⏰ The body’s circadian rhythm is disrupted by dementia. Add fatigue, shadows creating visual confusion, and the end-of-day transition, and you get a perfect storm.

🧠 General caregivers struggle if they respond with logic like "It's just getting dark, everything's fine." Containing the behavior rather than understanding it, escalates rather than soothes.

Example : One of our clients becomes convinced she needs to "go home" (even though she's in her own home) every day around 4pm. Her caregiver doesn't argue—she says "Let's have tea first and then we'll figure it out." By the time tea is done, the moment has passed.

That's not just kindness. That's training.
