- Surrounding bone is softer.
- There’s a lower risk of nerve damage.

Before surgery, be sure to:
- Follow your oral and maxillofacial surgeon’s instructions – especially about eating, drinking and medications.
- Brush your teeth before the appointment.
- Wear loose, comfy clothing.

BMP recruits peripheral mesenchymal stem cells from your own blood stream to the surgery site and facilitates their differentiation into osteoblasts which form new bone in the reconstructive area.
