“I would like to share my experience with physical therapy at Elite Therapy in Wedowee,
Alabama.

I reside in Alabama and was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in March 2021. In August of the same year, I experienced a stroke. Following two weeks in a rehabilitation hospital, I returned home in a wheelchair and received therapy at home until I was able to attend a physical therapy clinic. I selected Elite Rehab Therapy to address the broken bone in my shoulder, which had resulted from a fall related to my Parkinson's disease.

I chose Elite Therapy in Wedowee due to its proximity to my home and strong reputation for patient care. Upon arrival, I encountered a team of therapists who showed an interest in my situation. The facility was clean and spacious, and the staff was professional and friendly. During my initial session, the Physical Therapist, Dalton Screws, and I discussed my recovery goals, emphasizing both physical and mental exercises to address the effects of Parkinson's disease, the stroke, and my shoulder injury. Consistent therapy sessions with the staff has improved my balance and facilitated my independence with daily activities.

Physical therapy at Elite Therapy has played a significant role in managing my Parkinson's symptoms and restoring function to my left shoulder. I would recommend this therapy to anyone seeking straightforward, effective guidance to enhance their health. More importantly, I recommend Elite Therapy for its holistic approach, addressing not only physical challenges but also supporting overall well-being and self-perception.”

As always, our Traditional Yoga class will be at 9:00 AM.

We’re making a small adjustment to our Chair Yoga class—it will now start at 10:15 AM. This change allows time for the first class to wrap up, gives students a chance to ask questions, and ensures we’re fully set up for the next session.

“I started physical therapy at Elite rehab back in September 2025. I had torn my ACL along with my meniscus. This was my third surgery and I was nervous to start therapy with a new practice, but I knew God would put me in the right direction. Since the first day, all the staff was absolutely welcoming. From the front desk, Debbie will meet you with the nicest smile and a special sweet treat after your treatment. My therapist was Ms. Natalie. She was absolutely phenomenal and will truly make sure you receive the best care ever! I must say, my favorite part about Elite Rehab is the Christian music playing all throughout the building with the request of playing something off of the DJ, Alexa. All in all, I would recommend Elite Rehab of Wedowee for a speedy recovery. When my surgeon is surprised about my recovery speed and sent a special thank you to elite rehab, it made me smile. Thank you to everyone for making me feel so at home while surviving “Bootcamp” as I would say!”
