Today is National Pharmacy Technician Day!! I have THE BEST techs on the planet. And I could not do my job without them. We also take the time today to appreciate our cashiers and my most amazing handy-man. If you see these girls (and guy) around, please thank them for all the things they do to make your (and my) life easier. YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST!! (And yes, I did steal those photos from their pages 😂)

Important Announcement:
There is nothing wrong with our phones. My previous phone company was incompetent so after I cancelled my service with them, if you use their service, they are telling you my number has been disconnected. Regardless of what they are telling you, we are NOT blocking patients’ numbers. 🙄 That’s ridiculous. If you have a cell phone, you should be able to use it to contact us. Otherwise please come in to see us Monday through Friday from 8-5.

Our software provider had a glitch that prevented electronic prescriptions coming through. It was resolved at 9am, BUT anything before that didn’t come through, so we won’t have it or know what it is. Please let us know what you need and allow extra time for us to track those down. BIG NEWS:
We have partnered with Nimble Rx to bring you a new chat service. There may be some growing pains, but when we all get accustomed to the change, it will be awesome. There are a few IMPORTANT things you need to know:
1) Our old messaging system will no longer work, effective today. You will get a text from the number “39143”. It will look like the attached photo. (That may not come until we have something ready for you.)
2) When you have something ready, a separate text with a link will be included. Please DO click on this link to engage with our messaging service. If you have questions, you can ask them right there. If not, you can see what we have ready for you. The only issue is that it does
3) We will be monitoring this chat throughout the day, but we are still working and this is new for us, so please be patient if you don’t get an immediate response. We will answer.
4) If we have enough people to engage in the chat service, in two months, they will install an online payment platform. You will then be able to sign for your prescriptions and check out before you get to the store and avoid having to wait.
5) If your phone is old and out of date like mine, you may not be able to get the link. You should still get the texts. Please let me know when you come in if you can’t open the link.
6) if you want to opt out of the texts, just reply STOP to the initial text or tell us when you come in.
7) Please be patient as we navigate this change. Good things are coming…we just have to work through the growing pains.

Updated to add: I have been intentionally vague on social media as this is an active investigation and I do not want to share any details that would adversely affect the work our local LEAs are doing. If you’d like to know more, come see me. 😉 But the take away is 1) we are open and happy to help you until 5 today. And 2) My people are awesome. If you don’t have an awesome circle, I encourage you to find one. It’s life-changing! Thanks for all the love and support.

Good morning everyone. We’ve had a bit of excitement at the store this morning. It we will be open as usual. (And still closing promptly at 5pm. 😉) Just please be patient with us, as we now have a lot of extra things going on.

Now the Thank Yous:

Let me share this with you. The Wedowee PD and the RC Sheriff’s Office take a lot of crap. For some reason everyone thinks they know better and can do better. And I’m not saying sometimes things might not go exactly the way we want. BUT, from my firsthand experience, they were ROCK STARS this morning. I could not have asked for any better. They worked quickly and diligently and Brad and I are SO appreciative. They pieced this thing together quickly and effectively. I couldn’t have asked for anything better. So we definitely want to thank them all for their hard work and service to our town and county. Somehow people don’t seem to hear those stories very often.

Big thanks to my glass guy. Brandon with B & L Glass responded promptly and these guys have ensured I can lock up and leave in time to pick up my baby at the airport after work.

And my security guy. Kevin from Southern Tech Systems is helping me retrieve footage to assist in the documentation process.

And as always, my Daddy. No matter how old a girl gets, she just sometimes needs Daddy. And mine is always here to help. And Mimi came to stay with Jax so we didn’t have to drag him out in the middle of the night. Brad and I are blessed to have all four of our parents who will drop anything and help when we need them. And I’m blessed to have Brad by my side no matter what craziness life throws at us.

So now to get started with the paperwork. My wonderful employees will be happy to help you. Please understand I have my hands full, so I may not be able to talk to everyone. But we appreciate your business and your patience.
