On this day in 2003, Operation Iraqi Freedom began. We recognize the service and sacrifice of all who served during the Iraq War and continue to support those affected by their time in service.

March 21 is coming up fast and this is one you do not want to miss.

The Veterans Resource Expo is a true one stop day for Veterans and their families. Walk in and connect with real people who can help you take action on the spot, not just hand you a brochure.

You can get support with VA benefits and claims, Social Security questions, legal services, housing resources, mental health support, heating and utility assistance, and more. There will be 35 provider tables in one place, plus a speaking program featuring Senator Sheldon Whitehouse and participation from Rhode Island’s Congressional delegation and military liaisons.

Please share this with a Veteran in your life.

On National K-9 Veterans Day, we honor the K-9s who served beside America’s veterans. šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡øšŸ¾
At Brainwaves Neuro Restoration Center, we’re proud to support veterans and military families.
We may not treat veteran dogs—but we deeply respect the service they gave.

If you feel like bedtime is a nightly battleground, you are not alone. Research shows that up to 80% of children with autism struggle with sleep—nearly double the rate of neurotypical children.

From bedtime resistance to early morning wake-ups, poor sleep doesn’t just affect the child; it impacts the harmony of the entire family. 😓 It leads to: šŸ”¹ Dysregulated behavior šŸ”¹ Difficulty learning šŸ”¹ Poor daytime functioning

But there is hope beyond traditional behavioral or pharmacological interventions. šŸ§ šŸ’”

A recent randomized controlled trial published by the Sleep Research Society evaluated the effects of Alpha rhythm-guided repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS). The results showed significant improvements in: āœ… Sleep duration āœ… Reduced bedtime resistance āœ… Better sleep quality

At Brainwaves Neuro Restoration Center, we utilize the exact same equipment and qEEG-guided protocols used in this study to help restore natural sleep patterns and support your child’s brain health.

Here is the citation to the full research article:

Many parents save our videos and come back later while researching options for their child.

One of the first questions they ask is what the treatment actually feels like.

Most describe it as a light tapping sensation.

What would you want to know first?

Today is Hug a GI Day—a chance to show appreciation for those who wear or have worn the uniform. Whether with words, thanks, or a hug, let’s recognize the service of our Veterans and Service Members.

Curious how your child might handle treatment? Come with us to see what a pediatric MeRT session looks like. 🧠

During a typical MeRT session with our pediatric patients, our technician gently places the coil against the child’s head to deliver stimulation by hand. Parents help keep their child comfortable and still, often assisting with keeping their eyes closed using their hands or a paper towel.

We always encourage families to bring items that help their child feel at ease. Books, tablets, favorite shows, and fidget toys are all great options. In between each ā€œtrainā€ of stimulation, there’s about a 30-second break where patients can open their eyes, move around, talk, or use their device before beginning the next train.

Each session lasts just under 45 minutes.

If you’re interested in learning more about MeRT at Brainwaves Neuro Restoration Center, send us a message or use the link in our bio to schedule a free consultation.

Serving Veterans in Rhode Island

One stop access. Real help. Immediate next steps.

The Veterans Resource Expo was built to make it easier for Veterans and their families to connect with the services they need in one place, in one visit. Instead of making multiple calls or appointments, attendees can meet face to face with providers from federal and state agencies, nonprofits, utility assistance programs, and private sector partners.

This event brings together 35 vendor tables with support across a wide range of needs, including:
• VA benefits and claims support, including real time status checks
• Social Security assistance for SSI and SSDI questions and claims
• Mental health services
• Heating and utility assistance
• Legal services, including free or reduced fee help for select matters
• Housing resources
• Support for senior Veterans
• And more

Rhode Island’s full incumbent Congressional delegation and military liaisons will also be participating, and Senator Sheldon Whitehouse will be part of the speaking program.

This is exactly the kind of collaboration that improves access, removes barriers, and helps Veterans get connected faster.
