Sugar and spice and everything nice!
In the studio today, it’s monoi, cardamom, rose upon rose upon rose; rare ylang ylang, and the most delicious vanilla hydrosol I’ve ever had the honor to sniff/ experience. Also- tuberose. Authentic tuberose is very, very hard to get ahold of.
A new supplier, my order was placed in July, I asked them to send me everything special. And, they did! See you at the most special market of the year, this weekend! ❤️✨💭

What doesn’t a garden bring? Fruit, flavor, physical nourishment; sunshine to your body, joy to the heart… Today I found direct product inspiration, too.
This combination is knocking my socks off (if I was wearing any, which, it being the height of summer, I’m not). Even the grasshoppers can’t resist it!
-Rose/Basil/Sunshine-
I love that the rose is Don Juan, that gorgeous red climbing knockout- true to its namesake, can’t resist caressing the fresh young basil. The basil looks very happy with the caresses… Basil is dear to Aphrodite, Lakshmi, amongst so many of the primal feminine goddesses… it opens, purifies, surrounds. They’re both so yin, but this particular combo brings out a Yang- it’s truly a swoon made in heaven!
Will be tricky to figure out- the rose is so lush, and heady, but sharp; the basil has a lightness, no terpenes yet- needs a touch of… lemon? Honey Myrtle? Spruce?

Never limit yourself to what you’re labeled as. You’re not breaking anything, if you no longer believe in the mold/set point!
Feel into your roots, wiggle about, and be free to express yourself with enthusiasm, and oomph, everything your heart calls you to!

What are you growing this year?
In addition to cats, 🐈 (&kids)
I’ve got my usual annual medicinals planted, along with an abundance of zinnias & sunflowers, culinary herbs. Keeping it simple this year- no time to clear all the garden beds, sadly, though to be honest it is still a crazy amount of work!
Cukes, tomatoes, arugula, eggplants, onions, a few spicy peppers. Oh, and trying okra again this year- fingers crossed! I lucked into some healthy plants, well started, at the
I’ve also planted two hardy pomegranates this year too- curious, anyone out there tried them in zone 7b?
What are you excited to grow this year?
