Thank you, Sidelines Magazine, for all your efforts in this featured article on me, my story, and my Equestrian Rockstar Mental Skills Coaching Bootcamp!
Special thanks for ATG Equestrian for the Wellington location of the photo shoot, Amanda for grooming and horse handling, Lori Weiss for reining me in with fashion while staying the course with my rockSTAR brand (sorry, too much of a risk taking rebel to do the same old classic styles), Melissa Fuller Photography for somehow capturing those rare moments when I WASN'T being dragged around by a moving 1,400 lb. horse while teetering on the gravel path in my star studded spiked heels, and of course the talented writer, Laila Edwards!
To Jan Westmark Bauer, the Editor-in-Chief, thank you for inviting me to share my story, for allowing me to show up "on brand" with my signature aviators, and for featuring the stories of all my successful Equestrian Rockstars over the years!
And finally, to all the amazing people that God put in my life ... you know who you are .... I wouldn't even still be alive today. I am passing your gift on and pouring out onto others so that they too can feel the joy of transforming into being and performing as the very best that they can be!
To anyone who feels their parents weren't as perfect as they may have liked, I say this with absolute certainty and gratitude; "Had my parents been who I wanted them to be, I would not be the woman and the effective strategic interventionist and peak performance coach that I am proud to be today!"
It is not enough to just survive! As my friend, US Navy (Ret.) Captain Jerry Coffee, titled his book, it is about "Going Beyond Survival!"
It all turns around, in riding and life, when we shift from disempowered victims to empowered leaders! When we decide to change the stories that are holding us back and to write a new one! When we decide to raise our standards and to step up!
That's what we love about Sidelines Magazine ... it is not just about the ribbons. It is all about our inspiring stories and who we have become along the bridle path of our lives. Sidelines does such a great job featuring those stories and making us all look our authentic best!
