The residents at first looked at Marlene like she was crazy, 5 minutes in and everyone already had tummy aches from laughing so hard. 🥰

Our condolences to the family. Rick will definitely be missed by everyone who knew him. He had a contagious laugh and smile, he was so kind to everyone he was around. We will miss you Rick. Hope you’re getting unlimited fried eggs, tomato juice and pickles ❤️

High school kids came in today to play games with the residents. They played uno and uno attack. The kids seemed to really enjoy uno attack and being bombed with extra cards. Funtime had by all. We love when USC students come in for some fun.

The library ladies came today to make neck heating pads with the residents. Having them come in once a month has been so much fun, they have such creative ideas and the residents are greatly enjoying it. Thank you ladies.

Barber Flyers 4-H group came in today to deliver our residents a special Valentine’s Day treat bag. The residents enjoyed having conversation of their days of 4-H and the kids talking about what they do with 4-H. We hope they will come back soon to talk with us about their 4-H journey and the residents were greatly appreciative of their Valentine from them. Thank you Barber Flyers 4-H

Yesterday we celebrated Colleen’s birthday 🎂
We’ve had our share of cake this week as hers was the 3rd birthday this week 😁 she choose a delicious red velvet cake and showed off her beautiful flowers she got from her son & daughter in law.

Yesterday family and residents celebrated jeans birthday. She asked kitchen staff to make her family recipes of Swedish meatballs, cheesy hashbrowns and scalloped corn and needless to say Jeri did a dynamite job making it all.
We love listening to Jean play the piano for us, but we did give her the day off from having to play happy birthday.

We recently celebrated Mae’s 101st birthday 🎂 with her family and residents. What a special milestone for Mae. If you’ve ever seen the wooden house in our front living room area, that was Mae’s original home and the mini replica was made for her by family. We wish you another year of many blessings Mae ❤️🎂

Snowman ⛄️ craft time! Residents, Marlene and even family members enjoyed making a snowman craft today. Fitting since it’s January, but also since we’re expected to get a dusting of snow ❄️
