Yesterday family and residents celebrated jeans birthday. She asked kitchen staff to make her family recipes of Swedish meatballs, cheesy hashbrowns and scalloped corn and needless to say Jeri did a dynamite job making it all.
We love listening to Jean play the piano for us, but we did give her the day off from having to play happy birthday.

We recently celebrated Mae’s 101st birthday 🎂 with her family and residents. What a special milestone for Mae. If you’ve ever seen the wooden house in our front living room area, that was Mae’s original home and the mini replica was made for her by family. We wish you another year of many blessings Mae ❤️🎂

Residents enjoyed making their own hand lotion 🧴 last week. Good timing since this is the time of year when everyone’s skin is a little extra dry.

Snowman ⛄️ craft time! Residents, Marlene and even family members enjoyed making a snowman craft today. Fitting since it’s January, but also since we’re expected to get a dusting of snow ❄️

Today good shepherd church came and did Christmas caroling for the residents. Enjoyed by many and we appreciate them coming In and thinking of our residents during this holiday season

On Monday we celebrated ALs birthday 🎂
He chose the classic meal of roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy with corn.
For his cake, he had a great choice of chocolate cake with chocolate frosting cause you can never have too much chocolate in life 😉

A favorite holiday memory of mine involves baking Christmas cookies with my mom. I carried on this tradition by baking cookies for the residents, who got to enjoy decorating them. The result was a delightful display of creativity and a room full of laughter. Special thanks to Marlene Culbertson, Cindy Prange, Jeri Farley, and Paula Nelson for making it a special event. We were also fortunate to have a special taste tester join in. Enjoy the pictures..
