Calvin L. Reese, age 84, of Wellsboro, PA, died on Monday, February 9, 2026. He was born on April 5, 1941 in Wellsboro, PA, a son of the late Leslie and Carolyn (Crum) Reese and was married for 63 years to Francia (Pieve) Reese. Calvin served in the US Navy, was retired from Merganthaler and was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Wellsboro, PA. He was a member of VFW Post 3730, American Legion Post 572, both of Blossburg, PA, Knoxville VFW and a member of the Arnot Sportsmen Club. He is survived by his wife: Francia Reese of Wellsboro, PA, son: Walter (Nikki) Reese, of Wellsboro, PA, daughter: Julie (Todd) Runkle of Spring Mills, PA, grandchildren: Tiffany Reese, James (Lynne)Reese, Jay Runkle, great grandchildren: Liam Reese, Hayden Reese, Angela Reese. Ramona D. (Butler) Saturn, age 92, of Wellsboro, PA, died on Friday, January 30, 2026. She was born on April 19, 1933 in Wellsboro, PA, a daughter of the late George and Frances (Pollick) Butler and was the wife of the late James Saturn. Ramona is survived by a daughter: Susan (Warren) Heath of Dallas, PA, sisters: Helen Davis and Nancy (Gary) Copp, both of Wellsboro, PA, sister-in-law: Patricia Butler of Lawrenceville, PA, grandchildren: Jonathan, Maria and Jesse. Shirley A. (Daleski) Jordan, age 89, of Wellsboro, PA, passed away in her home on Tuesday, January 20, 2026. She was born on July 14, 1936 in Racine, WI, the eldest of two daughters of the late Albert Daleski and Anne (Kaisler) Daleski Dawson. She attended Saint Catherine’s High School during which time she met her first husband George Kamin; shortly after they moved to Ames, IA and had four children. George’s job as a chemist took the family to Towanda where George unfortunately passed away in 1971. Afterwards Shirley moved her family to Wellsboro and was employed as a waitress for many years. She moved to Colorado with her second husband Bob Jordan and even co-owned a restaurant in Frisco, CO. She moved back to Wellsboro in 1993 to be closer to her family. Shirley and Bob enjoyed traveling, seeing a good portion of the country via RV trips as well as traveling overseas- they actually lived in the country of Jordan for about two years! Shirley was a wonderful chef and baker- she was very well known for her bountiful trays of Christmas cookies she supplied every year! She also enjoyed feeding the birds, doing jigsaw puzzles, and going to local concerts and plays with her dear friend LuAnne Goodwin of Wellsboro. She was a great listener and always had time to chat, spending many afternoons visiting with her neighbors Marian Dilly, Jess Dilly, and Kassie Nowak. She is survived by a son: Steve Kamin of Wellsboro, PA, sister: Jan McFadden of Hutchinson, KS, son-in-law: Steven Tasa of Wellsboro, PA, daughter-in-law: Gayle Morrow of Westfield, PA, grandchildren: Haleigh Biuso (CA), Tyler Biuso (NY), Courtney Tasa (Wellsboro), Connor Simpson (CT), niece: April Wheeler of Pawtucket, RI, several other nieces and nephews and many loving friends. She was predeceased by her first husband: George Kamin, second husband: Robert “Bob” Jordan, son: Brian Kamin, daughters: Christine “Critter” (Kamin) Tasa, and Michelle (Kamin) Fox. In lieu of flowers charitable donations can be made in her honor to Second Chance Animal Sanctuaries, The Arbor Day Foundation, or any number of Catholic charities (she was a loyal donor to “Mother Jones” and “Boys Town”). Gary C. “Chuck” Coolidge, age 57, of Wellsboro, PA, died on Tuesday, January 20, 2026. He was born on February 29, 1968 in Wellsboro, PA, a son of Gary L. Coolidge and the late Nancy M. (Pope) Coolidge and was married to his high school sweetheart Patti (Mitchell) Coolidge for 37 years. Chuck was formerly employed as a heavy equipment operator by Cold Spring Construction and Brubacher Excavating. He enjoyed hunting, camping, woodworking and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He loved operating bulldozers and was a jack of all trades who could fix anything. Dorothy A. “Dottie” (Hazelton) Bush, age 87, of Wellsboro, PA, died on Thursday, January 8, 2026. She was born on October 30, 1938 in Wellsboro, PA, a daughter of the late Ransford and Olga (Lundquist) Hazelton and was married to Gary C. Bush for 54 years. Dottie was formerly employed by Mergenthaler, Super Duper, Country Owl Florist and Field Flowers Florist. She was a member of the Wellsboro Firemen’s Ladies Auxiliary, enjoyed camping, gardening, going for rides with her husband, Buddy her cat and spending time with her family. She is survived by a son: Robert (Earlene) Shaw, daughters: Brenda (Brad) Urey, Linda (Mike) Tomlinson, grandchildren: Douglas (Rachel) Tomlinson, Lucas (Haley) Starkweather, Jessica (Evan) Wawrykow, Joshua Moroschok, Alisha Shaw, several great grandchildren, stepdaughters: Anjie Bush, Amy Bush. Myrna J. Graham, age 85, of Wellsboro, PA, formerly of Jacksonville Beach, FL, died on Wednesday, December 17, 2025. She was born on May 9, 1940 in Blossburg, PA, a daughter of the late Clifford and Kathryn (Wagner) Graham and was formerly employed by Mosher’s 5 & 10 and the Mansfield Motor Inn. She was an accomplished seamstress, enjoyed swimming and the ocean. Myrna loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and her dogs. She is survived by two daughters: Deborah Mosher of Jacksonville, FL, Terri (Jerry) Locey of Wellsboro, PA, two sisters: Joane Reese of Wellsboro, PA, Shirley (Kyle) Kenyon of Hillsborough, NC, two grandchildren: Caitlin Locey and Eric Locey. Sharon L. (Wetherbee) Patterson, age 83, of Wellsboro, PA died peacefully at home on Sunday, December 7, 2025. She was born on July 31, 1942 in Corning, NY, a daughter of the late Wilbur and Ilene (Jones) Wetherbee and was the wife of the late James L. Patterson. Sharon was formerly employed by Mergenthaler and was a member of the Wellsboro United Methodist Church. She was a dedicated mother to her family and enjoyed cooking, canning, and spending time with her family, friends and grand dogs. She also enjoyed cross stitching, reading, listening to music and family genealogy. Sharon is survived by four sons: Tyler Patterson, Darren (Jackie) Patterson, Patrick Patterson, Jason (Audrey) Patterson, all of Wellsboro, PA, sister: Carole Wetherbee of Wellsboro, PA, grandchildren: James Patterson, Alexa Patterson and Jacob Patterson. Lewis and the late Christine (Clark) Cook and was married to the late Gerald J. Pierce and was formerly employed by Wundies as a seamstress. She attended the Mt. Zion Full Gospel Church, Wellsboro, PA, enjoyed sewing, couponing, doves and was a member of the Morris 55 Club and the Ornament Club. Walter D. “Walt” Starkweather, age 85, of Wellsboro, PA, died on Saturday, October 18, 2025. He was born on December 20, 1939 in Horseheads, NY a son of the late Fred and Florence (Hall) Starkweather, was married to Debra “Debbie” (Wetherbee) Starkweather and was the last sibling of 12 children. Walt was retired from the PA DOT after 38 ½ years of service and enjoyed hunting, taking care of his lawn, helping others and especially spending time with his family and friends.
