Members are asked to paint murals on the county boards windows for DD awareness month. This year members chose to honor their friend Bill who passed away last week. Bill enjoyed collecting medals and showing them off. So here's to you Ole friend.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our very dear friend, Bill.

Bill was the kind of person whose joy filled a room before he even said a word. He was fun-loving, endlessly kind, and always wearing that familiar smile that made everyone feel at ease. He had a deep love for animals and cars, and he took such pride in every accomplishment — whether it was something big or something small. To Bill, every achievement mattered, and that made them all feel important.

He was always sharply dressed, usually with a pocket (or a belly!) full of chocolates, ready to tease you about not sharing a single bite of that sweet treat and an even more ornery laugh. Bill had a special gift — he could lift your spirits without you even realizing you needed lifting. Being around him simply made life feel lighter.

Bill was more than a friend to us. He was family. His presence, his laughter, and his warmth leave a space that cannot be filled, but his memory will continue to live on in all of us.

We promise to make sure your best friend is never alone while you’re apart. You will always be loved, always remembered, and forever missed

The Winter Wonderland Dance was a success! Members were social with people that attended from the community and other providers. Helping to make it a fun and enjoyable experience for all. Plus they danced like nobody was watching. Definitely something to remember!

Jackson county has downgraded to a level 2 snow emergency. If busses are able to get out routes will be running tomorrow so long as the snow level does not upgrade overnight due to ice. If we remain at a level 2 our drivers will pickup those members that can be transported safely. The center plans to be open tomorrow. Please reach out to the center cellphone with any questions.
