Did you know colorectal cancer screening is recommended starting at age 45—and for many people, it can be done right at home? For average‑risk adults, simple at‑home stool tests may be an option.

These tests are:
🔹 Convenient
🔹 Private
🔹 Completed at home and mailed to a lab

Talk with your primary care provider about which screening option is right for you. Your provider can help arrange an at‑home test or discuss other screening options.

Early detection saves lives. If you’re 45 or older—or know someone who is—now is a great time to start the conversation.

March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month.

Screening is one of the most powerful tools we have to prevent and detect colorectal cancer early—and it is easily done from home! Talk with your care team today about ordering a FIT test. You can call your provider’s office or send a message via MyChart to request a FIT test with your provider.

At Confluence Health, we’re committed not only to encouraging screening now, but to building a future where every step of the cancer journey is supported close to home. That’s why we’re building a new Cancer Center at our Central Campus, designed to bring experts, services, and support together in one place—so patients don’t have to navigate care alone.

Screen early. Stay local. Feel supported—every step of the way.

Philanthropy Brings Hope and Answers to a Grieving Family.

When tragedy strikes, compassion can light the way. After a young mother’s sudden passing, her grieving family faced not just loss, but tough questions about their own health. Thanks to the heartfelt advocacy of Kaci Ramsey at Confluence Health and the generosity of “Carol’s fund,” the family received critical genetic testing that offered clarity and hope. This story is a powerful reminder that when philanthropy, advocacy, and community come together, lives are truly changed for the better. Read more: https://bit.ly/4lCpHFt

Today, we’re wearing blue to stand together in support of those affected by colorectal cancer and to raise awareness about the importance of early detection.

Colorectal cancer is one of the most common cancers—but when caught early, it’s also one of the most preventable and treatable. Screening is recommended starting at age 45, and simple at‑home options are available by calling your provider or requesting one through MyChart.

Join us by wearing blue today and helping spread the word. Together, we can encourage conversations, screenings, and support for our community.

Our Story

At Confluence Health, we are dedicated to improving our patients’ health by providing safe, high-quality care in a compassionate and cost-effective manner.

Confluence Health is an integrated healthcare delivery system that includes two hospitals, more than 40 medical specialties and primary care, to provide comprehensive medical care throughout North Central Washington. With over 270 physicians and 150 advanced practice clinicians, Confluence Health is the major medical provider between Seattle and Spokane. Our goal is to deliver high-quality, safe, compassionate, and cost-effective care close to home. Staying on the leading edge of healthcare innovation is important, so we invest in technology—to provide better care for our patients and allow our providers to operate at the highest level.

Located in the heart of Washington, we enjoy open skies, snow-capped mountains, and the lakes and rivers of the high desert. We are the proud home of orchards, farms, and small communities. Confluence Health actively supports the communities we serve and their quality of life through our community support program and through our individual efforts as involved community members. We encourage your questions and comments but would like to remind you that all of your posts are public.
