The Depot on First is one of those places where you really can have it all. The ambiance is inviting, the food is consistently high quality, the prices feel fair, and the space works beautifully for gatherings and events. It’s just a few minutes down the road from us in Old Town Knightdale, which makes it an easy favorite.
Our team has several regular traditions here. Sunday AYCE brunch is something we genuinely look forward to, Taco and Tequila Tuesday is a staple, and Pasta Wednesdays have been a great option for staff dinners. One of our owners and our Manager of Marketing and Operations, Brandon, eats almost entirely meat-based and orders the ribeye every time. According to him, it’s some of the best steak you’ll find anywhere.
They also have, hands down, one of the best bourbon selections around, probably this side of the county. It’s thoughtfully curated and clearly cared for.
Chris and Carmen, the owners, are warm, welcoming, and deeply supportive of local businesses and community causes. Full disclosure, we’ve become friends over the last couple years, and Chris’s business advice, expertise, and generous introductions played a meaningful role in helping us get our business up and running. We’re incredibly grateful for that support.
Every visit feels intentional and well cared for, and we truly look forward to coming back.
