If you’re thinking about starting yoga, here are 5 things I wish everyone knew before stepping onto the mat 🤍✨
1️⃣ You don’t need to be flexible to start.
Flexibility comes because you practice, not before. Your body will open with time, patience, and consistency.
2️⃣ Yoga is just as much about calming your mind as it is about moving your body. It’s not about perfect poses, it’s about grounding, breathing, and coming home to yourself.
3️⃣ Your practice is yours alone.
No comparing, no “shoulds,” no pressure to look like anyone else. Yoga meets you exactly where you are.
4️⃣ Consistency matters more than intensity.
A few minutes a day > one long session once in a while. Small, steady practices create the biggest shifts.
5️⃣ You don’t need to be ‘fit’ or ‘flexible’ to begin.
Start exactly where you are. Your practice will grow with you, physically, mentally, and emotionally.
