A Sarcoxie man was killed in a head-on collision on MO 59 in Fidelity today. Thanks to the Highway Patrol's new policies, the story, which was just posted on Inside Joplin, doesn't have the name of the man who died, but does have the name of the other driver, who was charged with DWI. While there are those that believe hydrosols are nothing more than watered down essential oils, that is definitely not the case. Even if essential oils were able to be diluted by water, (they aren't by the way, at least without help from a proper solubilizer) you still would not end up with a hydrosol.

That is because, in addition to miniscule amounts of essential oil constituents, they also contain the volatile, water-soluble constituents from the plant that are not present in the essential oil. Even out of the ones that they do share, the ratios are not the same because some of the chemical constituents are more water-soluble than others.

According to a 2016 post from the Tisserand Institute, Lavender hydrosol contains approximately 15% terpinen-4-ol and 0.05% linalyl acetate. Whereas the essential oil contains approximately 3% terpinen-4-ol and 35% linalyl acetate.

Also, because they are chemically different from their essential oil counterparts, there are even things they can do that essential oils cannot. One major thing is hydrosols are water-soluble, unlike essential oils. Additionally, due to their very gentle nature because they only contain a fraction of a percent of aromatic volatiles, they are a much safer option to use with young children and pets.

My Lye soaps are made a little different than most I use A2 raw golden Guernsey🐮 (so much cream),all natural oils, No Essential oils, No Artificial dyes, only natural colorants,they still smell amazing just natural sense of the soap . Right now I only make 3 kinds: Honey Vanilla Oatmeal🐝(moisturizing &cleansing ),Mediterranean Red Clay(clarifies &detox),Charcoal (deep pore cleaner)
