Today is Día de los Mu***os, a beautiful day to remember those who have passed. I first learned about it in high school Spanish class and loved the way it turns remembrance into celebration. Later, while working for Alternative Hospice, we honored this day by remembering our patients — and our own loved ones — who had passed. Talking about our loved ones, and even speaking to them, keeps their memory alive and helps us heal from grief. May we carry that spirit of remembrance with us always, keeping our connections alive in both heart and memory.

The season of gratitude begins — and so often, the season of busyness, too.
With Christmas only 54 days away, it’s easy to start racing ahead: to-do lists, gatherings, shopping, schedules. But before the pace picks up, let’s take one mindful breath together.
“Enough is a feast.”
Contentment begins when we pause long enough to see that what’s here is already enough — the warmth of home, the love around us, the quiet moments in between.
And when we add gratitude to that awareness, the simplest moments become abundant.
May this month bring you peace between plans, presence between tasks, and gratitude in every breath.

Recently, I received my Reiki Master attunement alongside six incredible women at The Chakra Healing Room in Wentzville. This has been a goal of mine for over two years, and I’m so grateful to finally reach this milestone — and even more excited that I can now share and teach Reiki to others!

I spent part of the weekend in Virginia Beach — a place that still feels like home to my heart.
The ocean always reminds me to slow down and breathe a little deeper. The waves never rush, yet they always find their way.
There’s such a lesson in that… healing takes time, trust, and flow. 🌊💙

And if you can’t be near the ocean, bring a little of its magic home — soak in an Epsom salt or sea salt bath, exfoliate with a salt scrub, or simply place a bowl of salt water nearby to absorb heavy energy.
Salt cleanses, grounds, and restores balance — a simple reminder that nature always provides what we need.

You don’t need fancy tools to ease muscle tension — sometimes a simple tennis or lacrosse ball does the trick. 🎾

Place it between your body and a wall or the floor, and gently roll over tight areas to release knots, open fascia, and improve circulation.

✨ Try this for shoulders, hips, feet, and even under the armpit — one of my favorite spots for deep release and lymphatic flow.

Just a minute or two in each area can make a big difference in how you feel between sessions. 🌿

Showed me how chronic stress, people-pleasing, and unspoken emotions can silently shape disease. The body whispers until it has to scream “no more.”

🧠 The Body Keeps the Score — Bessel van der Kolk, M.D.
Revealed how trauma is stored not just in our memories, but in our tissues, posture, breath, and even our nervous system. True healing happens when the body feels safe again.

✨ My takeaway:
Healing is never just physical. It’s emotional, energetic, and deeply personal.
The more we listen, the more the body trusts us to release what it’s been holding.

Epsom salt baths are one of my favorite ways to extend the benefits of massage 💆‍♀️
Rich in magnesium, they help muscles relax, ease soreness, and calm the nervous system — perfect after a long day or deep session.
✨ Try adding 2 cups to a warm bath and soaking for 15–20 minutes.
💧 Don’t forget to hydrate — your body (and energy) will thank you.
