After practicing yoga for almost twenty years, I felt there was much more to learn. I found Jane's House of Well Being and fell in love with the atmosphere and teachings. In 2015, I began the 200 hour teacher training and have been practicing and teaching formally for almost five years. I used this knowledge to deepen my practice and work in the field of holistic healing and energy work. In the spring of 2015, I became certified in the aromatouch technique. In 2018 I completed the 85 hour teacher training for prenatal yoga. I look forward to meeting you and discussing how I can help you on your own journey.

Ayurveda Pumpkin chia seed pudding recipe (fall time for breakfast or a sweet treat)

2 TB chia seeds
1/2 c almond milk
1/2 c pumpkin puree
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp maple syrup
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
Dash of nutmeg

In small bowl soak chia seeds in almond milk for 5 minutes whipping with a fork a few times. Place pumpkin, vanilla, syrup and spices in a blender then add the chia mix on top. Blend on high for 2 minutes. Top with nutmeg. ๐Ÿ‚๐ŸŽƒ

Itโ€™s generally important to wait a little while after getting an immunization before having a massage for a few key reasons:

1. Local Reaction at the Injection Site
Immunizations often cause temporary soreness, redness, or swelling in the arm. Massageโ€”especially if it involves the upper bodyโ€”can put pressure on or near the injection site, which may worsen discomfort or irritate the area.

2. Immune System Response
After a vaccine, your immune system is actively responding. Massage can increase circulation and lymphatic flow, which might intensify mild post-vaccine symptoms (like fatigue, headache, or body aches). Giving your body time to adjust helps avoid feeling worse afterward.

3. Monitoring for Side Effects
Itโ€™s best to allow some time (usually 24โ€“48 hours) to monitor how your body responds to the vaccine. If any unusual reactions occur, itโ€™s easier to identify the cause when massage isnโ€™t happening at the same time.

4. Client Comfort
Some people feel tired or slightly โ€œoffโ€ after a shot. Receiving a massage while feeling achy, feverish, or lightheaded might not be relaxing and could make the experience less enjoyable.

I often hear clients tell me that after a session they are going to exercise either in a class or just hitting the gym on the way home. This isn't wrong. It's just important to listen to your body as she is your first teacher. ๐Ÿฉต
After bodywork, your system is processing lots of shirts (physically and mentally). This is why I encourage hydration and rest so your body can integrate the healing. ๐ŸŒŠ
