Windsor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Weslaco

Windsor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Weslaco We provide short and long-term skilled nursing care that helps older adults achieve true wellness. We are a non-profit, and that’s an important difference.

Our focus is on strengthening the families and communities we care for. Post-operative care, Wound Care, IV Therapy, and an in-house rehabilitation team are some services that make our facility different. Unlike others who contract their therapists, we have an in-house therapy team. This means our goal is to have patients and residents see the same occupational, speech, or physical therapists daily, which builds a strong line of trust and rapport.

November is National Hospice & Palliative Care Month. This month, we honor the compassionate professionals who provide comfort, guidance, and dignity for individuals facing serious illness and end-of-life care. Their support not only eases physical symptoms β€” it brings peace, connection, and reassurance to residents and their loved ones. πŸ•ŠοΈ

At every stage of life, each person deserves to be treated with respect, surrounded by comfort, and supported in the ways that matter most. We are grateful to collaborate with hospice and palliative care partners who help ensure every resident’s final chapters are filled with meaning and care. πŸ’™

During World Diabetes Month, we spotlight the crucial role of diabetes care in the skilled nursing setting. Managing diabetes is about more than numbersβ€”it's about personalized care plans, daily support, and empowering each individual with the tools they need to maintain their health.

If you haven't been diagnosed, it's important to watch for possible signs:
πŸ”Ί Urinating often
πŸ”Ί Feeling very thirsty
πŸ”Ί Feeling very hungryβ€”even though you're eating
πŸ”Ί Extreme fatigue
πŸ”Ί Blurry vision
πŸ”Ί Cuts or bruises that are slow to heal
πŸ”Ί Unintended weight lossβ€”even though you're eating more
πŸ”Ί Tingling, pain, or numbness in the hands or feet
