One of the biggest advantages of planning a mommy makeover now? Timing.

By combining procedures into one surgery, you’re able to go through one recovery period — and if you plan early, you’ll be healed and ready to enjoy your results by summer. 😎

That means:

✔️ Not recovering during peak summer heat

✔️ Feeling confident for vacations, events, and photos

✔️ Giving yourself the time your body needs to heal properly

We often assume that prioritizing our health has to be complicated or out of reach. But this experience challenged that idea in a big way.

What stood out to me wasn’t just how I felt at the end of it all… it was how intentional, structured, and immersive the entire approach to wellness was. Everything worked together — movement, nutrition, recovery, and time.

And it made me realize something: sometimes the biggest changes don’t come from doing more… they come from doing things differently.

This journey has given me a lot to reflect on, both as a physician and as a patient. Final part drops next week. 🫡

We often separate “traditional” medicine and “alternative” medicine like they have to compete… but what I saw is that, in other parts of the world, they’re actually used together.

Not as a replacement. As a complement.

There’s a growing recognition that reducing inflammation, improving gut health, and focusing on what we put into our bodies can play a major role in how we feel and how we heal.

Sometimes it’s not about choosing one path. It’s about understanding how multiple approaches can work together.

Who said you can’t add volume without implants? Not around here, partner! 🤠

This is an immediate before and after of a breast augmentation using fat transfer only. We use your own natural tissue to enhance shape and fullness, creating a softer, more subtle increase in volume, without placing an implant!

It’s not for everyone, but when the anatomy is right, the results can be beautiful and balanced.

Part 6 of this experience will probably challenge one of the biggest assumptions most people have before going into it.

I think a lot of people assume that exploring something like holistic or alternative medicine is either inaccessible, uncommon, or something “other people” are doing… but that wasn’t the case at all.

What stood out to me most was how many people were actively seeking out a different approach to their health. Not because modern medicine failed them, but because they wanted something more comprehensive.

It made me realize this isn’t a niche conversation anymore. More and more people are looking at health through a wider lens… combining prevention, recovery, and long-term wellness. And honestly, that shift is something worth paying attention to!

Feeling lucky this St. Patrick’s Day? We sure are. 🍀

Nothing makes us feel more fortunate than the trust our patients place in us and the kind words they share after their experience.

To our incredible patients: thank you for allowing us to be part of your journey. We’re the lucky ones!

Part 5 of this journey is all about something most of us don’t get nearly enough of: true calm. 🧘🏽‍♂️

Most of us are constantly “on.” Work, family, responsibilities, emails, notifications… even when we think we’re relaxing, our minds are still running a mile a minute.

One of the therapies I experienced in Kerala was designed specifically to slow the nervous system down and quiet the mind. No phones, no distractions, no rushing to the next thing. Just time to actually settle into stillness.

As someone who’s spent years in high-pressure environments, (from the military to the operating room) I realized how rare it is to truly unplug like that.

It made me think a lot about how stress impacts healing, recovery, and overall health. Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do for your body isn’t adding more… it’s learning how to slow down.

Pregnancy can change the body in ways that diet and exercise alone can’t fully correct.

In this mommy makeover, we combined a tummy tuck with liposuction to address two key concerns:

- Repairing and tightening stretched abdominal muscles

- Removing excess skin and stubborn fat to restore smoother contours

The result is a flatter, firmer abdomen, all achieved in one surgery and one recovery period. 👍🏽

If you’re considering an abdominoplasty and lipo, a consultation is the first step in understanding what’s appropriate for you. Link in bio to book.

Part 4 of this journey really reminded me of something simple: sometimes the best medicine is consistency. 💪🏽

In the U.S., we’re used to looking for quick fixes. A pill, a procedure, a fast solution. But stepping into a different approach to health made me slow down and appreciate how much progress can come from doing the basics really well, day after day.

Movement, mobility, recovery, and giving your body the time to respond all play a bigger role than we often realize.

As a surgeon, I spend a lot of time focused on procedures and outcomes. This experience gave me a chance to step back and think more about the habits that keep the body functioning well long before surgery ever becomes part of the conversation.
