I have noticed in Jackson County several families that have experienced child loss. For several years I was a bereavement counselor and specifically facilitated a child loss group. I am willing to start one here in Jackson County or if there are others in the state of Florida that would like an online group. I can do either. Please send a message and let me know your interest. It does not need to be a recent loss. Please share with anyone that you feel may need this service. Thoughts and prayers.

Great article on Emotional Unavailability. Have you ever been in a relationship that you want a connection, but the indivdual (friend, partenr, etc.) just can't seem to read cues or respond in a way you need. This is a consideration. Or maybe your firends and partners feel you can't respond to them with empathy and care. The first step is to recognize the symptoms of emotional unavailability & what causes it.

Every summer for the past 4 years I take a road trip to explore, recharge, visit family & friends. Each year there is a new discovery or just enjoying what I have come to realize. When our therapist talk about self care we do our best to practice it too. I got plenty of vitamin D; I walked; I laughed, I learned new things, engaged with people I had never met before. The part I enjoy every year is sitting in awe of all of God's wonders. The quiet, the streams, the animals, trees, the breeze away from everything. A good part of my trip I had no cell or wifi. Imagine that. I can't say that I missed it except when I was trying to meet up with someone and we had no way to communicate, but guess what? It all worked out. I truly was able to unplug. Find those times for yourself put your phone down and just be.
