If glowing, healthier-looking skin is the goal, this is one ingredient you don’t want to skip. 🍊

In honor of National Vitamin C Day, Heidi is breaking down why this ingredient is a go-to for maintaining brighter, smoother, more resilient skin.

That said, not every serum is created equal. The formulation, strength, and stability all play a role in how effective it actually is (and how your skin responds to it).

If you’re serious about prevention and long-term skin health, this is one product worth getting right.

Redness that comes and goes isn’t always just “sensitive skin.” 😬

For Rosacea Awareness Month, we’re breaking down what to actually pay attention to when your skin is constantly flushed, reactive, or unpredictable.

The tricky part? It can show up differently for everyone, and many people don’t realize what they’re dealing with until it’s been going on for a while. Understanding patterns, knowing what sets your skin off, and using the right products (and treatments when needed) can make a huge difference in keeping things calm and controlled.

If your skin feels like it’s always reacting no matter what you try, it might be time to take a closer look. We’re here to help you figure out what’s going on and how to manage it.

This before & after shows the results of DPN removal with cauterization. Dermatosis Papulosa Nigra is completely benign, but many patients choose to remove these small raised spots for a smoother, more even appearance.

Downtime is typically minimal. You can expect small scabs in the treated areas for about 5–7 days as the skin heals. It’s important to keep the area clean, apply a thin layer of Vaseline or healing ointment daily, and avoid picking. Sun protection is key to preventing post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation while the skin recovers. Within a couple of weeks, most patients are left with clearer, smoother-looking skin.

If you’ve been curious about removing DPN safely, call our office at 813-406-4835 to schedule a consultation, and we’ll walk you through your options.

A spring break glow is real… but sun-cleared acne? Not exactly. 😬

It’s easy to mistake temporary changes for real improvement. When skin is exposed to strong UV rays, it can look calmer at first, but that doesn’t mean breakouts are actually being treated. In fact, skipping SPF and stripping your skin barrier can set you up for more congestion and dark marks once you’re back home.

If you’re traveling, think balance: protect your skin, keep pores clear, and don’t abandon your routine just because you’re on vacation. Future-you will be grateful!

Dermatosis Papulosa Nigra (DPN) is a very common, benign skin condition that appears as tiny brown or black spots, most often on the cheeks, temples, and around the eyes. It’s especially common in patients with darker skin tones and is completely non-cancerous, but many people choose to remove them for cosmetic reasons.

One of the ways we treat DPN in-office is with gentle cauterization. This technique uses controlled heat to precisely remove the lesion while protecting the surrounding skin. The treatment is quick and typically requires minimal downtime.

If those little spots have been bothering you, know that safe and effective options are available. Schedule a consultation and let’s talk about what’s right for your skin.

Redness that just won’t quit? Let’s talk Vbeam.
Vbeam is a specialized vascular laser that targets excess blood vessels in the skin, which are often the reason behind rosacea, broken capillaries, flushing, and persistent redness. It works by delivering precise pulses of light that are absorbed by the red pigment in blood vessels. The heat safely collapses those vessels, and your body naturally clears them away over time. Treatments are quick, done in-office, and require little downtime.

One of the most common in-office treatments we use is quick, targeted, and incredibly effective for removing certain skin lesions. It’s a go-to option for spots that don’t need surgery but still need expert care.

This treatment works by precisely destroying unwanted skin cells so healthier skin can take their place. It’s fast, requires minimal aftercare, and healing typically happens within days.

If you have a spot you’ve been watching or something that just doesn’t feel right, getting it checked early makes all the difference. Our team is here to help you decide the best next step for your skin. Call our office at 813-406-4835 to book.
