💤Sleep syndrome spotlight: Exploding Head Syndrome

This past weekend, Dr. Scotch presented a lecture on Exploding Head Syndrome, an unusual but harmless sleep-related phenomenon where people may hear a sudden loud noise as they’re drifting off to sleep or waking up. Despite its name and scary effects, it is a benign condition and often relates to stress or disrupted sleep. If you’ve experienced this and are curious to learn more, our team is always here to help.

This past weekend, Dr. Scotch had the honor of being a panelist discussing scary cases in sleep at the annual Florida Combined Otolaryngology Meeting. He lectured about Exploding Head Syndrome, a rare but terrifying sleep event that is important to distinguish from PTSD. 💤

🎃 It’s almost Halloween! Help include kids with food allergies in the Halloween fun by participating in the Teal Pumpkin Project. Place a teal pumpkin by your door to indicate that you have non-food treats available (glow sticks, stickers, rings, crafts, etc.) to include all trick or treaters 🎃
