The Recreational Adult Day Program serves adults, ages 18 and older with disabilities.

Happy Monday! We worked in our small groups today. One of our groups read about different New Years Eve traditions in different counties, another worked on the shopping list for when they go to th store this week and another was working on vocabulary words.
In the gym today we got to play one of our favorite games!

What a fun day!

Over the weekend was the first Adaptive Rec Cooking Classics of the new year! It’s a great way to spend the morning with your peers and practice your cooking skills in the kitchen. This time the menu was breakfast sandwiches.

Happy Friday! What a busy day. In our small groups today we either were working on fractions, a fun typing game where we got to race against eachother or were working on our research projects!

Zach, Matt and Ryan made us taco potatoes and yogurt parfaits for lunch today!

Happy Thursday! Today was all about, The RAD Way!
The RAD Way is the room goals and expectations we hold eachother accountable for each and every day.

Today we reviewed them, and talked about what we can continue to work on even more. We all continued our pledge to follow The RAD Way when we are here.

About 6 months ago is when we started The RAD Way. We have a jar in our room that we earn coins for when we get caught following The RAD Way. And we chose to have as a reward a pizza party and candy salad making day, and today we earned it.

It was a great day spending time with our friends while also reminding each other of the goals we have when we are here and how we are going to continue to follow The RAD Way moving forward!

Happy Wednesday!! What a job filled day we had. We worked with Zach on mock interview questions and talked about how we can talk about ourselves during interviews, including talking about our strengths and weaknesses!
Another group did jobs around the building! We helped do some cleaning, wiped down a lot of door handles and helped clean in some of the offices! We walked around with our jobs list to make sure we got everything.
Our last group worked on projects for upcoming events!

Whew! What a busy day.

Happy Tuesday! What a busy day. This morning we had Zumba, and we even got to celebrate Jane’s birthday!
Then for our lesson today we worked in two groups. Both groups had to write out the steps on how to make a PB&J sandwich. Then we tried to see if it worked, and it was really funny when our instructions didn’t work out so well! We talked about the importance of giving a lot of information when we give instructions. Then we rewrote our instructions and it was much better!

For lunch today we made homemade chicken noodle soup and garlic bread! Yum!

Welcome back!! We had a great first day back today at RAD! We had fun in our small groups working on a shopping activity using our math skills (and calculators!) & doing a fun mad lib! In the gym today we played soccer, which is one of our favorite activities.

We were also excited because today we finally filled up our RAD Way Jar! The last several months we have been working as a group to earn tokens for our jar for following The RAD Way! We earned a pizza party and candy salad making day (we voted on it a few months ago!) and get to celebrate together this week.

What a great first day back!!

❄️ Winter Formal Dance | Friday, January 30th - 5:30-8pm
🎭 Musical Theater with Pink Umbrella Theater Company | Tuesdays, February 3rd- March 24th - 6:30-7:30pm
🌻Prom (NEW Dance!) | Friday, May 8th - 5:30-8pm

NEW This Winter/ Spring: ALL Adaptive Rec Dances will have a sit down meal, participants will also receive a corsage or boutonniere to take home and have their photos taken.

📣Stay Tuned! Coming SOON this Winter/ Spring we will be offering Friday Social Hours! These will be fun Friday nights with activities, snacks and social time with peers at the Rec Center.

📣Beginning Summer 2026 we are expanding our Adaptive Rec offerings to Intermediate and High School Students! Please reach out if you are interested in being on the email list for more information.

A fun short week with our friends this week! We enjoyed some sub sandwiches for lunch today and we were busy working on some goals for ourselves for the New Year!
