If you’ve been feeling the rise of holiday stress — the pressure, the pace, the sensory overload — I want to remind you of something simple and extraordinary:

Your body already knows how to return to calm.
It just needs the right signals.

Tonight’s 5:30 class, Yoga for Holiday Stress, is built around that truth. If you’ve been feeling the rise of holiday stress — the pressure, the pace, the sensory overload — I want to remind you of something simple and extraordinary:

We’re not forcing the body to relax.
We’re giving it the information it needs:

– Slow breath that steadies your chemistry
– Gentle movement that unwinds the nervous system
– Postures that tell your mind, “You’re safe now”
– Space to exhale what you’ve been carrying

Your body is spectacular.
It adapts, resets, and finds balance the moment you create the conditions for it.

If you could use an hour of clarity, grounding, and inner ease, I’d love to see you tonight. Bring your stress, your busy brain, your tired spirit — your body will know exactly what to do with all of it.

See you at 5:30 tonight. Bring a friend for free. Let's heal.

Susie

Thank you to everyone who has been brave enough to talk about their mental health in the comments lately. I know how hard it can be to open up about depression, anxiety, overwhelm and overthinking. Your honesty creates a kind of mental health camaraderie — a reminder that none of us are walking this path alone.

I teach what I know. I’ve lived through the dark, depressed, anxious chapters, and I continue to learn from my own nervous system every day. Sharing yoga, breathwork, and somatic tools with you is part of my journey, and I am so happy to be walking this path with all of you. My deepest joy is hearing your success stories and how your yoga tools got you through your day!

So thank you for meeting me here with your truth. The more we talk about mental health, the safer it becomes for others to speak up, to ask for help, and to begin healing. I’m honored to be part of this community with you.

ALL NEW!

Candle Light Wednesdays

Yoga for Depression 5:30-6:30pm
This practice supports anyone experiencing symptoms depression, burnout, ADHD, brain fog, overthinking, or seasonal blues (SAD) — helping you reconnect to energy, clarity, and a quiet sense of hope.
We begin with big, intuitive motions to awaken the body and spark dopamine and serotonin, the natural mood-lifters. Then we flow into slow, grounding poses that bring steadiness and calm to the mind.

The class closes with a long, supported savasana in soft candlelight with soft music

Yoga for Anxiety 7-8pm
This class is ideal for anyone navigating anxiety, overwhelm, racing thoughts, insomnia, chronic stress, or emotional overload — a safe space to soften, settle, and restore your sense of peace. We begin with slow, releasing movements to let go of tension, then flow into long, steady breathing that lowers heart rate and calms the nervous system. We finish with supported, restorative poses under candlelight and soft music, allowing your body to fully unwind and prepare for deep sleep.

I’m calling this one “Offering breath to the breeze”

SUNRISE

Getting up for sunrise means setting the alarm for 4am at the time of year. It’s worth it every time, even though it’s tempting to skip it. Lake Michigan delivers a soothing sight and sound for my ears, eyes and soul

FANS

I saw someone playing with fans like these and I fell in love 🪭🪭🪭
I literally dreamed of this exact moment, knowing how the wind would play through the fabric. I am glad I am in silhouette, otherwise you would see the look of utter concentration on my face. Being that high off the ground was a challenge for me, my knee is pressing against the back of the chair to feel anchored while I concentrate on deep breathing. A lot of deep breathing 😎

I’m grateful for the person who let me play with their fans. It inspired me to go buy my own pair, get up early and play in the sunshine.

Other ways to play with the wind-
1-Blow bubbles
2-make a wish on a dandelion
3-put up a wind chime (or 3!)

Tell me in the comments your favorite way to play with the wind

I love you
