💙 Making a difference, one bag at a time! 💙

We’ve got an amazing group of 10 residents coming together to create sleeping mats for those in need! 🙌

🛍️ Bags are collected (yes, even a little “dumpster diving” aka bag collecting!)
✂️ Flattened, cut into strips, and rolled into balls
🧶 Crocheted into durable sleeping mats
🎀 Finished with handmade ties—just like a sleeping bag!

Each mat takes about 700–900 bags to complete 😲 and measures roughly 6 ft x 3 ft. These mats help keep people experiencing homelessness dry, and even better—bugs don’t like them! 🐜🚫

Residents are currently making mats for St. Ben’s and Bob’s Under the Bridge ❤️

This is more than just a project—it’s a fun, social, and meaningful way to give back. ✨

Emil enjoyed a special birthday visit from his daughter Julie, who brought along some HUGE bubbles that had everyone amazed and smiling 🎉🫧 Residents gathered around, waving and soaking in the joy as the bubbles floated through the air—it was pure magic ✨
