There is a universal human experience that does not get talked about nearly enough. You walk into a room with absolute certainty. You had a plan, a reason, a mission. Something important brought you here.
Then suddenly, nothing.
You stand there for a moment, mentally retracing your steps, hoping the purpose will return like a lost file reopening itself. Sometimes it does. Sometimes you just slowly back out of the room and hope the memory catches up later.
Therapists experience this too. Mid thought, mid sentence, mid explanation, the brain briefly hits pause while the idea reloads.
Everyone else navigating life this week knows the same feeling. Walking into the kitchen, the office, the garage, the next room, fully committed to a task that completely vanishes the moment you arrive.
If this happened to you recently, congratulations, your brain is functioning exactly like a human brain. It is juggling a lot.
The mystery continues.
