Thanks to Rotary Club of Caldwells & Kiwanis Club of Caldwell-West Essex for hosting another spectacular Caldwell Street Fair and for your continued financial support of The Bridge and our mission. And thanks to all of The Bridge’s Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder clinicians and social workers, and interns who helped us participate in this event.

Last Thursday, the Imani Center Scholars hosted their second annual Youth Summit in which students from Irvington High School and Rita L. Owens STEAM Academy discussed the causes and prevention of violence in our communities. Thank you to speakers Pamela, McCauley, Matt Bellace, Lori Scott Pickens, Surrogate Alturrick Kenney and Joyce Mary Seyi-Idowu! And a huge thank you to for making this event possible!

We at The Bridge are Thankful for all our employees who do so much for those in need in our community every day. And as we all prepare for Thanksgiving, we are grateful for those on our team who donated and prepared Thanksgiving meal packages for some of our neighbors. And we thank Irvington Neighborhood Improvement Corporation for donating the turkeys in these care packages.

It is with a heavy heart that we report the news that our long term board member Gerry Norman Tuch (pictured left) has passed. Gerry had a long distinguished career as a CPA.

He loved his family and loved his wife (pictured right). Gerry spent his life devoting time and effort to organizations like the Bridge. We are so grateful for all he has done. We will miss Gerry and the love he shared with us and his community.

Brandi Greer, our HR lead, shared a story where Gerry expressed his appreciation for his wife by stating "I haven't needed a drop of sugar since the day I met my wife". A testament to love he had to share.

Just wrapped up at the Inclusive Resource Fair at the James Caldwell high school. It was great to meet other organizations that help and support our community. Thank you to all the parents who attended and visited our table. You know how to reach us!
